Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Meet Nico! This big, strong boy is the sweetest and gentlest dog you will ever meet. High energy and eager to play, he gets along well with dogs and loves to jump and run with them. He loves food and walks (Well, he loves to take you for a run, haha!) And when he sees you, he gets excited and dances with his front paws. His chubby and hairy appearance makes him so cute, with all the personality of a golden retriever/Labrador, loyal but too clumsy and curious, extroverted and with an insatiable desire to smell everything. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Story
Meet Butterball! Butterball is a 6-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix who’s as sweet as his name. This handsome 60-lb boy is neutered, affectionate, and loves attention. He’s great with kids and gets along well with other dogs, making him the perfect companion for a family or anyone who loves an affectionate, loyal friend. Butterball enjoys being part of the action — whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, playtime in the yard, or just curling up for snuggles. He’s gentle, loving, and ready to bring so much joy to his new home. Butterball has a brother, Banjo, who is also looking for a home — they can be adopted together or separately. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 (Currently in San Diego) If you’re ready to meet Butterball, reach out to Sabrina 717-377-3588 s.m.morrison97@gmail.comOctober 12, 2025, 1:13 pm

Story
Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 6-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix with striking looks and a big personality. Weighing around 60 lbs and neutered, Banjo loves human attention and thrives on affection. He’s smart, loyal, and has that wonderful mix of Husky confidence and Collie heart. Banjo would do best in a home without small dogs or young kids, but he’s more than ready to be someone’s devoted adventure buddy. He’d love a secure yard, daily walks, and lots of love from his person. Banjo’s brother, Butterball, is also available for adoption — they adore each other but can be adopted separately. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster of Forever home wanted!!!!  Meet Zuzu!!!!   Zuzu was adopted from us as a young puppy.  Sadly her family situation has changed and Zuzu is back with us looking for a new foster or forever family.  Zuzu is a three year old Border Collie mix (best guess).  She is smart, house trained, leash trained, crate trained, has basic skills and loves dogs, even went to doggie daycare in the past (plays a bit rough and tumble so smaller or sensitive dogs may not be a fan of that). Zuzu is protective of her people and home and thus would do best in a dog savvy ‘quieter” adult only home.  Zuzu is looking for a family who will give her structure, daily exercise, daytime adventures, night time cuddles and the confidence to know human strangers are not a concern.  If Zuzu sounds like the right dog for your family email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org  Zuzu is located in Southern California.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 11, 2025, 5:35 pm

Story
A great companion! Hi, friends! My name is Alonso, and I’ve come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home!   I’m a 7 year old old Border Collie mix male, who weighs 45 pounds.  I’m potty-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained, and I’ve already been neutered, too.  As far as my health goes, I’m on Royal Canin Vet Diet Adult Gastrointentinal Low Fat Dry dog to help manage my kidney issues.  I also have limited vision in my right eye and am blind in my left eye, so I am currently on Prednisone acetate, which costs ~$20 a bottle, depending on the market value and where it is purchased and Optixcare Plus lubricant,  (~$15 a tube, depending on the market value and where it is purchased). I also take Telmisartan to manage my high blood pressure (~$15.00 for 3 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased).   I’m the sweetest boy! I love my humans and to be spoiled by them.  My favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, sun-bathing in the yard, napping during the day, getting belly rubs, and going for car rides and walks in the neighborhood.  I’m generally a pretty mellow type of guy, but I do get zoomies in the backyard, and I like to play fetch, too.  Although I love having company, I also do fine on my own with very little signs of separation anxiety. I’d prefer to be the only animal in the home since I don’t do well around other doggies or kitties.  Older kids (eight and older), though, would be a great fit for me. Basically, as long as I have plenty of time around my people, I will thrive be my best self! "The Animal Pad recognizes that taking in a new dog can pose a challenge to the entire family. Alonso’s adoption package includes a FREE four-week scholarship with our partner Goodpup (https://goodpup.com/). Goodpup offers virtual, individualized training to ensure you, your dog, and your family have the skills needed to thrive together. GoodPup Scholarships include: 4+ weeks of positive reinforcement training 24/7 chat for questions and support Access to a behavior team to assist in advanced cases" Do I sound like two paws up to you? If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1495460##
