Story
Tommy is a cute and cuddly little boy with an eternally cute face. He was found on the streets with a tumor about 5.5" in diameter in his belly. He lasted a year in treatment with chemotherapy and medication and needed surgery to remove the remaining encapsulated mass. In addition to needing special food to break up a stone bladder, he has ultrasounds to make sure he don't get sediment in his bladder every three months. He is currently a healthy, happy, loving and tender dog. He is very loyal and protective, intelligent and playful. He don't get along well with alpha male dogs, but plays well with puppies and females. He is sociable with children and adults. Tommy is a Border collie mix, and is smaller than a Border collie. When you talk to him he makes a cute and cuddly face, ducks his head and rolls his eyes upwards, I think he knows he is cute and takes advantage of that. Tommy is a dog to spoil, to cuddle and to give him lots of love, since his first family didn't give him all he deserved. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Meet Nico! This big, strong boy is the sweetest and gentlest dog you will ever meet. High energy and eager to play, he gets along well with dogs and loves to jump and run with them. He loves food and walks (Well, he loves to take you for a run, haha!) And when he sees you, he gets excited and dances with his front paws. His chubby and hairy appearance makes him so cute, with all the personality of a golden retriever/Labrador, loyal but too clumsy and curious, extroverted and with an insatiable desire to smell everything. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster of Forever home wanted!!!!  Meet Zuzu!!!!   Zuzu was adopted from us as a young puppy.  Sadly her family situation has changed and Zuzu is back with us looking for a new foster or forever family.  Zuzu is a three year old Border Collie mix (best guess).  She is smart, house trained, leash trained, crate trained, has basic skills and loves dogs, even went to doggie daycare in the past (plays a bit rough and tumble so smaller or sensitive dogs may not be a fan of that). Zuzu is protective of her people and home and thus would do best in a dog savvy ‘quieter” adult only home.  Zuzu is looking for a family who will give her structure, daily exercise, daytime adventures, night time cuddles and the confidence to know human strangers are not a concern.  If Zuzu sounds like the right dog for your family email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org  Zuzu is located in Southern California.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 11, 2025, 5:35 pm

Story
Location: Turlock, CA ~~~FOSTER (or Adopter) HOME NEEDED~~~ Introducing Leon, he is nearly 3 years old, playful, friendly, great with other dogs and cats. He is your typical Border Collie, he loves to play, chase, run, and has a thing for stealing towels and sheets. (oops, no Leon, no) Leon is very eager to learn new things, is smart and love to sniff the world around him. Given his great personality, we think he would be ok with children over 13. He can be a bit too exuberant for the little ones. This boy would be an ideal candidate for fly ball, agility or lure coursing or hiking. Border Collies were bred to be working dogs, Leon is not meant to be a couch potato. He will need a home that will match his intelligence and activity level. No apartments or adopters who will leave him home alone for long periods of time please. Do you think this super boy is a good fit for your family? Story
Ace is a Blue Heeler/Mini Poodle mix. He's had extensive training and has earned multiple titles through the AKC Family Dog program, including Canine Good Citizen, Novice Trick Dog and Intermediate Fit Dog. Ace loves walks and chances to run. He's very fast! Ace lives with two small dogs and a large cat and gets along great with them. He loves toys and chewing on bones. He needs more training to help reduce excitedly jumping up on people. We need to re-home Ace because he's been mildly aggressive with my mother, who has Alzheimer's Disease. He treats her differently than any other person and it's causing her anxiety. He would do best with an active family, a yard, chances to use his brain (puzzles/tricks/training) and lots of opportunities to be outside exercising. Ace would love to be your Adventure Dog!
