Story
Kane is a very loving and smart boy who loves to please and show affection. He has a bubbly personality and lots of energy for his age. Kane loves outdoor walks, playing fetch in a field and swimming at the dog beach. Kane would thrive in a home where he receives lots of attention and has a backyard to explore. He’d also do really well with another dog if you already have one. He knows basic commands such as sit, shake, and speak. Also responds well if you tell him “no” to getting on the couch, going in a room, etc. He pulls a little while walking on leash so best to use a harness. Kane is a little shy towards strangers and other dogs, but warms up quickly. He does not have any special needs or medical care.

Story
A great companion! Hi, friends! My name is Alonso, and I’ve come all the way from Tijuana to find my furever home!   I’m a 7 year old old Border Collie mix male, who weighs 45 pounds.  I’m potty-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained, and I’ve already been neutered, too.  As far as my health goes, I’m on Royal Canin Vet Diet Adult Gastrointentinal Low Fat Dry dog to help manage my kidney issues.  I also have limited vision in my right eye and am blind in my left eye, so I am currently on Prednisone acetate, which costs ~$20 a bottle, depending on the market value and where it is purchased and Optixcare Plus lubricant,  (~$15 a tube, depending on the market value and where it is purchased). I also take Telmisartan to manage my high blood pressure (~$15.00 for 3 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased).   I’m the sweetest boy! I love my humans and to be spoiled by them.  My favorite activities include cuddling on the couch, sun-bathing in the yard, napping during the day, getting belly rubs, and going for car rides and walks in the neighborhood.  I’m generally a pretty mellow type of guy, but I do get zoomies in the backyard, and I like to play fetch, too.  Although I love having company, I also do fine on my own with very little signs of separation anxiety. I’d prefer to be the only animal in the home since I don’t do well around other doggies or kitties.  Older kids (eight and older), though, would be a great fit for me. Basically, as long as I have plenty of time around my people, I will thrive be my best self! "The Animal Pad recognizes that taking in a new dog can pose a challenge to the entire family. Alonso’s adoption package includes a FREE four-week scholarship with our partner Goodpup (https://goodpup.com/). Goodpup offers virtual, individualized training to ensure you, your dog, and your family have the skills needed to thrive together. GoodPup Scholarships include: 4+ weeks of positive reinforcement training 24/7 chat for questions and support Access to a behavior team to assist in advanced cases" Do I sound like two paws up to you? If so, my adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/.   ##1495460##

Story
Meet our beautiful border collie Bonnie🌺! She was listed at the shelter as 5yrs old but seems to be much younger. She has a beautiful dark chocolate and white coat and soulful brown eyes and a sweet and fun temperament. She's not destructive in the home, very good with people and other dogs. Bonnie is highly intelligent and a very inquisitive girl who will surely steal your heart💕. She loves adventures outside with you and a perfect best friend wanting to be by your side and one of the best perks, she's already house trained so no starting over with potty training. She's respectful of treats and food with other dogs around but she doesn't seem to like car rides 😂. When the car starts, so does her barking but being in the car is fine, maybe it's something about an engine sound.🤔Bonnie is a loving girl full of kisses😽 but also can be on alert and cautious with some new people she meets, so an experienced dog person who’s able to understand her not intermediated by her is required. Bonnie is a wonderful pup who's spayed, microchipped, currenton vaccines. Adored 🥰 by her foster family, Bonnie is hoping her forever family🏡 is reading this! Get your application in ASAP to meet gorgeous Bonnie!🤩 Currently being cared for in Southern California, Bonnie can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome the sweet girl.

Story
Meet Dutch🤎, a stunningly handsome and charming almost 2-year-old boy with a rich, chocolate-brown coat and captivating blue eyes that sparkle with kindness🥰. This loving boy was welcomed into a wonderful family in the San Diego area about 8 months ago. Initially, Dutch was more reserved and fearful when rescued from the shelter, but with time, he blossomed into a confident companion for his family, except for the husband, around whom he seems anxious and stressed. Despite the husband's patient and loving approach, Dutch remains wary, prompting his family to consider finding a new home where he can thrive without fear. With his current family, Dutch has formed strong bonds with the wife and kids, who adore him dearly, but they've come to realize that a woman-only household might be the perfect solution for Dutch to live a stress-free life. His family believes Dutch may have had a negative experience with a man in the past, which has led to his hesitation around men unless they exhibit familiar characteristics. Importantly, Dutch has never shown aggression and is great with cats and other dogs, making him an excellent addition to any household. He's potty-trained, crate-trained, and loves spending time in his crate and bed. Dutch is neutered, vaccinated, and chipped, and his current family is heartbroken but hopeful that he'll find a loving home🏡 where he can receive all the love and care he deserves. If you're thinking of adding a loving companion to your family and believe you'd be the perfect match for Dutch, get your application in ASAP! This gorgeous boy will undoubtedly capture your heart💗with his loving nature.😻
