Story
02/28/26 15:43 When staff approached the kennel to leash him, he readily walked into the leash loop on his own. Outside of the kennel, he was friendly and highly social, seeking attention from staff members. He approached multiple staff, sniffed appropriately, leaned into them, and moved his head to solicit petting. He allowed full physical restraint during handling (prior to vaccination) without issue. He was easily distracted by environmental smells while outside. When a muzzle was placed, he initially allowed it.However, when staff approached to administer a vaccine, he became highly aroused and began snapping and whipping his head around. He remained elevated/aroused until he was physically moved away from the vaccination area.Overall, he demonstrates friendly, social behavior in general handling situations, with heightened sensitivity during medical procedures involving injections. MH02/19/26 14:51Needs rescue urgent due to handling sensitivities, leading to attempts to bite and thrashing to deter handlers when being restrained or attempting to vaccinate; Bites made contact but did not break skin. Unable to fully vaccinate due to this behavior. Easily aroused and displays rowdy behavior, nipping at extremities when excited and attempting to mount/hump when interacting with handlers.

Story
Chopper is a little over 2 years old, birthdate on 1/9/2024. We were given by someone when he was 6 months old. We are looking for experienced pet owners to take him in. He has anxiety issues and resource guards his owners. He has bitten someone once and is not friendly to others due to anxiety. He gets alone with our other dog in the house but no strangers. He is very affectionate and friendly to his owners. He loves to get pets and scratches. He is food motivated and likes to cuddle.

Story
Dillon was 1.5yrs young when we adopted him from Milpitas Humane Society in 2019. He had an ear infection being treated at the time. Recently it came back. Besides that he is happy and healthy. We live with 3 children (2 teens and a toddler) and Dillon is very gently with them and is always excited to see them coming home from school. Unfortunately we are relocating and downsizing and overall don’t have time and can not afford taking him to the vet for his ear infection due to one of our children going under heart surgery which is putting us in a difficult time financially. New home we are planning to move in does not allow “large” dogs. I am very heartbroken writing this post but I am hoping to find my Dillon a good home that has the time for him.
