Story
I got Keely on November 2nd of last year. She is around 15 wks old right now. She will listen to and will obey what you say to her. She sleeps through the night. I have a crate for her and she is getting used to being in there. Keely is spayed, up to date on her shots and is chipped. I am working on getting her potty trained. Keely barks at people because she doesn't know who they are. Once she gets to know the person she doesn't bark at them. She hasn't bit anyone. Keely is very playful when around other dogs. I am working on training her. She is very responsive to training. I know she will be a good dog in the future if a person has patience. Keely is willing to learn. She will bark at other dogs until she gets to know them. Keely is very alert to her surroundings. If you end up adopting Keely I have toys, treats, food I can give you.

Story
I adopted Ellie from someone in Modesto through Craigslist when she was about 6 months old. Ellie is now 3 years old. She is very energetic and friendly with everyone and other children, and loves to jump on people and be petted. When she meets other dogs, she will initially bark and run around them, and it takes her a while to get close because she's not an outdoor dog; we always keep her indoors. I adopted her when I had been living alone for two years, and my landlord needed to take the house back for renovations, so we had to move back in with my parents. My father has a history of asthma and sometimes has difficulty breathing, and his condition has worsened since being exposed to dog hair. When we first moved back, we kept her indoors. Her daily routine was that in the morning she would go out to the backyard to play and run around, and in the evening she would sleep in the garage (she has a heated bed to keep her warm). But now my father's health has worsened so...

Story
Back in 2023 four puppies found their way to our property. We contacted the shelter and offered to foster them in hopes that they would be reconnected with their owners. No owners ever came forward and so the shelter took all four puppies. Two found immediate homes and we adopted the remaining two and named them Bandit and Shadow. They are very smart, very loving, very vocal, high energy dogs. They did well on our property up until recently. A few months ago we got new neighbors. Our new neighbors are a community of a dozen individuals who come and go all day and night and they brought with them seven small dogs. What used to be a field between our property fence and the neighbor house is now a parking lot of cars and food trucks and the neighbor dogs run up and down our fence line tormenting Bandit and Shadow. Bandit and Shadow deserve a peaceful property to live on. They deserve a home that can provide them lots of attention and interaction. We can no longer provide this, can you?

Story
Meet Maple Just like her name, Maple is as sweet as can be! This playful, affectionate girl will melt your heart with her loving personality and zest for life. At about a year old, Maple is the perfect mix of youthful energy and growing confidence. We’re not entirely sure of her breed—perhaps a cattle dog mix—but one thing is certain: she’s 100% pure sweetness. Maple has truly blossomed in her foster home. She’s now fully potty trained and walking beautifully on a leash, making her a joy to take on strolls and adventures. She loves playtime, whether it’s a game of tug, chasing after a ball, or just goofing around with her foster dog siblings. They’ve been helping her build confidence and discover the fun of having four-legged friends. Smart and eager to please, Maple is quick to pick up new tricks and thrives on positive attention from her people. She’s a little lovebug who showers her humans with kisses and loves being part of the action. While she’d adore having a doggie sibling in her forever home, it’s not a deal-breaker as long as she can enjoy regular playdates and stay well-socialized. With her medical care complete and her confidence growing every day, Maple is ready to find a forever family that will cherish her sweet nature and playful spirit. She’s the kind of companion who will brighten your days and fill your home with warmth and joy—just like the sweet maple syrup she’s named after. If you’d like to welcome this darling girl into your life, visit www.aarflove.org to review our adoption process and submit an application. While we can’t respond to every applicant, we’ll reach out if we think Maple would be a perfect fit for your family. Maple is ready to bring sweetness and love into her new home. Could it be yours?
