Include dog's name in the inquiry. Jack is a male Shepherd mix, about 5 yrs old. He weighs 45#. He is a good dog... no aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. This guy needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. Introducing Dewey!! This fun loving, intelligent, sweet as pie young hunk is such a wonderful companion and can’t wait to find a home of his very own! He was found in a neighborhood playing with children and was just such a happy guy from the moment he met everyone! He was lucky enough to be able to make it out of the crowded shelter alive and have a second chance at a good life! Dewey is only a year old and weighs 46 lbs. He is a great solid medium size and is a healthy, happy boy! He’s had his vaccines done, deworming, tested negative for heartworm, he’s been microchipped, and neutered! He is also current on preventative! This boy is thriving and looking for love! Dewey is a total ham! He’s outgoing everywhere he goes and with everyone he meets. He loves all men, women and children, and other animals! He’s a happy, playful guy who loves the adventure of hiking in the woods or going for a swim in the lake. He loves to go for car rides and is a fabulously devoted companion. In foster care he also goes on trips to tractor supply where he greets everyone with such a smile! He’s doing great reliably going potty outside, and has such a fantastic overall personality. He’s super intelligent and a fast learner, he enjoys games of fetch and has great recall. Meet Fonzie!  Fonzie is a very sweet, smart neutered puppy! He is about 5-6 months old and weighs about 30 lbs. We expect him to be a medium breed mix when grown. Equal parts goofy charm and affectionate shadow, Holliday is the kind of dog who leans all the way into love. His biggest dream? A couch, a person, and permission to pretend he’s a lap dog. From the moment you meet him, Holliday’s affectionate nature is easy to see. He absolutely lights up when people give him attention and has a charming little habit of doing “tippy taps” with his feet when he’s happy or excited. It’s the kind of happy motion that makes everyone around him smile whether they are meeting for the first time or its a familiar connection. And inside its only sweeter, he is affectionate and his aspirations for lap-dog life really shine. Holliday is more than happy to make the first move and will come in close to soak up the love and lean in for a new nestling nose kisses. He is still learning some of the everyday things that come with the cozy life as a family dog. For example, couches were a new concept to him. When invited up, he wasn’t quite sure how to get there at first and needed a little boost. Moments like that tell us he’s likely still discovering what a comfortable home life looks like. The good news is that he’s eager to connect with people, smart and very responsive to guidance, which makes him a wonderful boy to open your heart and home to. On leash, Holliday is enthusiastic and currently pulls a bit, especially when he sees other dogs he’d like to meet. Much of his life before rescue life was spent on a very short leash outdoors so the world is understandably very exciting to him right now. With a confident understanding handler he has been making great progress with continued leash training. He is also very responsive to direction, correction, and listens well when told “no.” With other dogs, Holliday shows friendly curiosity. When meeting dogs he likes to sniff hello and then wander off to explore the yard. Play is still a bit of a mystery to him, but with the right dog companion we have seen he learns quickly and is easily invited to play even if she doesn’t know the steps after that. When meeting new dogs he reads them well and respects boundaries and limits easily. We can see him being a wonderful fit for a home with medium-energy, similarly sized dogs. Holliday is also very food motivated, which is wonderful for training. He eats enthusiastically and takes treats gently. Because Holliday can be a little jumpy, which he is working on, when he’s excited to receive affection, we think he’ll do best in a home with older kids who won’t be knocked over by his enthusiastic greetings. His affection truly comes from a joyful place and is gentle, not rough or heavy footed. He just hasn’t quite learned yet that hugs don’t always have to involve all four feet leaving the ground, but some people do enjoy those big, warm dog hugs. A home with a yard would be ideal for Holliday while he continues building his leash skills, giving him space to stretch his legs and explore safely. With time, guidance, and a loving environment, we think this freckled little masked hero is going to blossom into a wonderful, lap-loving, whole-new-world companion and sidekick. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 9/5/26 Still available! Now about 10 weeks old.   8/27/26 Katana These beautiful little babies had such a hard start in life. They were dumped along with their mama in a very remote area in rural Arkansas, next to the river, under a bridge. Their sweet mama did all she could to protect her babies from the wild hogs that frequent the area, and other dangers. She tried her best to produce enough milk to feed them and keep them healthy. We are so proud of her and her efforts to raise her young. Sadly, dogs are not equipped to live in the wild any more. We took that from them long ago. Mama did the best she could, but it cost her dearly. She was starved almost to death. The puppies were slightly underweight but overall in decent condition, which tells us all we need to know about a mother's love for her babies. She gave her all to them. Thankfully, she was rescued along with her babies. These puppies are so sweet and happy! Just having a regular diet and a little affection has made all the difference for them. They are now in a foster home where all of their needs are being met and they are thriving! We believe they are Hound/Border Collie mix. But that is only a guess. There is really no telling what all breeds they have mixed in there. Mama seems to be a squirrel dog or bird dog of some sort. She is a good hunter, which is probably the only thing that allowed her and these babies to survive before they were rescued. These pups are about 9wks old at this time, and they weigh around 10 lbs. They will not be large dogs. We believe they will be a nice medium size, maybe 40-50lbs once grown.
