Story
We have had corgis for years and when our last one passed my husband grieved so much we adopted Charlee from another family that was going to put her in the pound. We have had for a couple of years and although she is a great friendly funny playful dog my husband became 100% disabled from his vietnam injuries and cannot do anything with her anymore. She loves to sit in his lap and sleeps by him but I can't handle both my husband's tremendous health needs and taking care of a dog. It isn't fair to Charlee. She comes with a giant crate that she loves but when I am gone for hours with my husband's health needs and hospital stays it isn't fair to keep her cooped up. We have to find her a loving home where she can play and run and retrieve balls and sit in laps. Please adopt her. You and your family or children will enjoy her so much and Charlee will have a great active life.

Story
Derby is 4 years old with lots of love to give. She is great with kids, loves walks, and knows basic commands. She gets along with other animals and is very friendly and full of energy. She stays home for long hours and wait for us to get her out which makes her an amazing dog. However, we don't want that for her, so we are trying to find a home that have the time to spend with her.

Story
Daisy Mae is a 7-year-old, 75 lb, Border Collie/Heeler mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped and housebroken. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her size or larger but not good with small dogs and not good with cats, and prefers no children. Daisy can be prone to UTI's so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family that has previous experience with resource guarding behaviors. Training will be provided at no cost to her new family to help ensure her success. Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old due to resource guarding behaviors. Daisy's ideal home would be an adult only home that is open to participating in training to make some minor resource guarding issues easier to manage. She is a well-trained, medium energy companion that would make an amazing pet. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue.
