Story
Freya is a 4yr old Border Collie with a big heart. She is extremely intelligent, loving and laid back. She has been in a single dog household all her life after being adopted from a shelter in New York and has traveled with us from New York to Florida at least twice. She has never been aggressive but barks when other dogs walk by. She is generally a very quiet dog who does not bark much and loves to sit with her head in your lap if allowed. She is looking for a home where she will be loved.

Story
Naomi is an adorable herding-type girl whose intelligence, enthusiasm, and playful spirit are exactly what you’d expect from this active breed group. She recently joined staff for a lunch outing and showed just how fun she can be. Naomi loaded easily into the car and, after some excited wiggling at the start of the adventure, settled in nicely for the ride. At the café she walked politely, sat calmly while food was ordered, and relaxed in the sunshine once everyone was seated. Naomi truly shines when she gets to move—she loved zooming around on a long line, splashing in the water, and rolling in the grass. She’s highly treat-motivated and already knows cues like sit, speak, and paw, with down still being a work in progress. Like many herding dogs, she can get a little overstimulated during play and may jump up or grab at arms while vocalizing, but she responds well to redirection and is eager to learn. Now living in a foster home, Naomi is thriving and showing what a wonderful companion she can be. She rides well in the car, is house trained, and does well when left home alone. She enjoys playdates with a friend’s dog and gets along great with her canine buddy. While she hasn’t yet been around cats or children in the foster home, she has been a fantastic houseguest and continues to show her happy, affectionate personality. Naomi would do best in an active home that can give her the exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training that her smart herding brain craves. In return, she’ll reward her adopter with endless fun, loyalty, and the joy of sharing life with a truly special dog.

Boots is a very sweet 13 week old puppy with his shots up-to-date. He is very good at playing with other dogs and he enjoys the company of other kittens, but we don’t know how he is with kids. He would do well in a home that has plenty of energy for him. We are located in Oviedo Fl.

Story
Meet Phoenix- The bravest little fighter you will ever meet. This sweet girl has a heart as big as her smile. She adores people, loves other dogs, and greets everyone like they’re already her best friend. Despite surviving a terrible injury when she was shot, leaving a pellet lodged in her spine, she hasn’t let it dim her spirit one bit. She now uses a wheelchair to zoom around—and trust us, she can keep up with the best of them! Her resilience is nothing short of inspiring. Every day she shows just how strong, joyful, and loving a dog can be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and a reminder of what true courage looks like, she’s your girl. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $350 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org. ##2492112##

Story
Gemini Zod is a charismatic Aussie mix with a unique blend of charm and energy. This adorable pup came to us initially shy and scared, but it took just a couple of days for him to reveal the true star within. Gemini Zod has transformed into an outgoing and charismatic companion. His big personality shines through, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Gemini Zod enjoys an extremely active lifestyle. His love for walking, chasing after a ball, and indulging in some bone-chewing sessions is truly delightful to witness. But the real show-stopper is when he decides it's time for zoomies – his playful sprints and twists are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Gemini Zod is seeking a home that appreciates his lively spirit and is ready to provide the love and engagement he craves.  HE IS EXTREMELY PEOPLE SELECTIVE AND MUST GO TO A VERY EXPERIENCED ADOPTER.
