Story
I adopted Donna as a sparky, timid 6 month old puppy. She has always been the sweetest, cutest dog, albeit always DEMANDING ball play lol. She has slowed down over the years, being a decade old. But, she still likes to play for short periods. I had no idea I'd ever have to give her up and never intended to. However, I had a baby and as he grew bigger, she got skittish around him, nipping at his face. This was sad and boggled my my mind because she always loved playing ball with little boys. I guess it's the crawling and toddler stage that threatens her. So now she's staying with grandma. But Donna and grandma's dog get in tussles( jealousy). So here we are. Donna just needs a loving, caring, forever family so she can feel secure again in her last years... finally.

Story
Please note, applications won’t even be considered if ALL of the following adoption requirements are not met Adoption requirements are as such: Not a first time dog owner  No kids under 16 No other pets  Experince with resource guarding  Willingness to do training sessions prior to adoption at Orlando facility and willingness to continue training after Daisy Mae is here to stay! I'm a good girl with a love for adventure! I'm built for long walks (though I'm still learning to navigate a leash) and chasing balls! Do you have the right life for me? I need to be with bigger pups, but no smaller animals... the young hairless kind aren't best for me either. Who wants to throw balls into the sunset for me? I also like long car rides to go along with my walks! Daisy Mae is a 5-year-old, 75 lb, border collie/heeler looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, chipped, housebroken, and is working on walking on a leash. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on long walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her  size or larger, not good with cats, and prefers no smaller humans. Daisy can be prone to UTIs so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family.  Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee: $ 150 ##1177999##

Story
Hello! My name is Bentley, and I know what you’re thinking. I look more like a cubby bear than a husky. I was surrendered along with my husky sister, and due to my sweet and snuggly personality, Husky Haven of Florida just couldn’t leave me at the shelter. I am a 6-year-old border collie mix; I am on the smaller side as compared to a husky. I love toys, and I love walks and do so well on a leash. I like to stop frequently and smell the grass. I love pets and snuggles, and fortunately, I have the softest, shiniest coat so people like to pet me! I get along with other friendly dogs and kids. I’m not sure yet about cats. I can sometimes be standoffish when I meet a new human, however, once I know you, I will want to follow you around and always be with you. I am housebroken and do not bark often. Sometimes I will bark at another dog, or I will howl a little if home alone. I like to be with my people.
