You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Capitan is just the best friend you could ask for.  He is a medium sized dog, probably around 40lbs now.  He loves everyone, great with dogs, loves kids, doesn't really even notice cats.  He does have lots of energy and will need a family who is able to give him a way to use it like long walks and lots of play time.  He is crate trained, learning basic commands, still perfecting housebreaking and how this leash thing works.  The reason he is taking more time to learn is that he is mostly deaf and blind.  He did have to have one eye removed and has limited sight out of his other eye, but he gets around just fine so he does have vision.  He also is mostly deaf but hears some loud, high pitched noises.  We have an amazing trainer who volunteered her time to work with him and will also help his new owner learn his commands and how to continue his training.  He really is such a sweet boy who just wants all the love.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, healthy, and ready to go.   His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Capitan, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 21, 2026, 10:12 am

This fuzzy little lovebug is eager to please and just waiting for his forever person or family to choose him. What’s he like? Great with other dogs and loves to play. Equal parts Velcro pup and independent entertainer — he’ll happily dig through the toy basket and keep himself busy. Knows not to chew furniture or shoes, though socks and dryer sheets are his weakness (he’ll drop them when asked!). Can get overstimulated in chaotic environments and prefers slow introductions. He may take a minute to warm up, but he’s worth the wait. Once he trusts you, he is the sweetest snuggle bug who just wants to be close to his person. What can he do? Kennel trained (sleeps through the night and goes in on command). Fully potty trained with subtle but clear cues. Excellent in the car — calm, comfy, and observant. Recently graduated a 10-day obedience program! He knows “wait,” “place,” “come,” “heel,” loose-leash walking, and more. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. Found as a stray with his sisters, Sammy is an outgoing, happy and playful pup. He gets along with other dogs and strangers. He has gone on a few overnight stays and has done really well. He is learning to walk on a leash and does well in a car. He is ready for his new home.

Meet Anastasia - aka Anna, Annie or Anna Banana. This cutie is approximately 5 months old and is a bundle of energy. She is friendly and very playful. Her favorite things are running around with her foster siblings both human and canine, lounging outside in the warm sun, chewing on her super chewer bones and at the end of the day relaxing in a comfy spot. Anna does well on a leash with a harness and enjoys a daily walk. She is working on learning commands and will need a family that is consistent and firm with training. Right now, she is mastering “sit” and “off”. She is also crate trained during the day and will go in when she hears “crate” and given a treat. Potty training is a work in progress just like with any puppy. Anna will use a puppy pad in the house if she can’t make it to the door but also knows that outside means “potty”. She is a very smart girl who is eager to please and will catch on to it in no time with consistency. Anna’s ideal household would be one that is active. She would love a fenced yard to be able to run around in and burn her energy. She would do well with or without a canine sibling. She would also do best in a family with older children as she likes to nip and herd the younger ones when playing. If you are looking for a loyal silly pup who will put a smile on your face every day Annie is your girl! Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip. To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not obligate you to adopt; it simply allows us to begin the review process.
