Story
Phantom came into my care when he was around 3-4 years old. I knew nothing of his life prior, only that my mom found him on an ad online. However, it was evidently clear that he had scarring on his face from what looked to be some severe bites. It wasn't a week later during a walk that we discovered he was dog reactive. I've had phantom for six years now. In that time he's taken anxiety-managing medications and worked with a trainer at home and during a month-long board and train location where they worked on his behavoral issues and dog reactivity. The training has helped in some areas. Phantom has lived with other dogs peacefully before, but he is dog selective. He currently lives with another dog that he does not get along with, and as he ages and develops cataracts, their disagreements increase. The other dog in the home is also elderly, and the pair of them simply don't get along. I love phantom, and I want him to enjoy his golden years in a single-dog household.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a cuddle partner, hiking buddy or someone to share Easter eggs after an Easter egg hunt? Whatever the activity I'm your dogge!  Hi, my name is Kingston! I'm the biggest pup in my litter. I'm 5 months old and already 34 pounds! My momma is a small Boston Terrier mix and I am already bigger than her with lost of growing left! I probably will be 55-60 pounds when I'm all grown up. Some of my favorite foods are cheese, dog cookies and peanutbutter. I will work for treats! I can "sit", "down" and "come" for treats. I walk on a leash, I'm great at bathtime, I'm learning "off" (not to jump on people), to "leave it", and I go potty. I love getting attention from my people, taking naps, giving kisses and cuddling.  I am great in my crate where I sleep all night. I still need regular potty breaks when I'm inside because I'm still a baby. Got kids? Other dogs? Bring them on! Just you? That's cool too!  I'm a love bug looking for a fur-ever home. Don't you want to meet me? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 27, 2025, 7:28 pm

Story
Hi, Name is Chip! I'm the type of dog that is gonna take time to get to know. I'm mostly scared and confused in being here. I'm not happy in my kennel so I do bark at you. You have to bribe me with hotdogs to get me to trust you. Once I get out on leash I'm fine but it still takes time for me to adjust. We don't know much about chip but to greet with other dogs is a must and to be tested around cats. I would say no to kids. Any additional information about me please ask the people in the office. To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-5pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm.
