Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Suzie is around 7.5 years as per the shelter. She needs to shed a few extra pounds, but she has been showing great progress lately. She is fantastic with our 4 and 8-year-old sons, who love playing with her. Suzie is very loyal to her people and remains focused on them. She is not much interested in cats and has had no accidents in the house. Suzie does not chew anything inappropriately. We're working on the basics of training, and Suzie is catching on quickly because she's a bright dog. She loves playing fetch and can keep going for hours if you have the energy.
