Hi, Name is Chip! I'm the type of dog that is gonna take time to get to know. I'm mostly scared and confused in being here. I'm not happy in my kennel so I do bark at you. You have to bribe me with hotdogs to get me to trust you. Once I get out on leash I'm fine but it still takes time for me to adjust. We don't know much about chip but to greet with other dogs is a must and to be tested around cats. I would say no to kids. Any additional information about me please ask the people in the office.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-5pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. We believe Bow to be a Shepherd mix who had been well taken care of until the time his owner allowed him to run at large. Bows nails have been kept trimmed, he is neutered, extremely friendly and loves attention. Bow do not seem to mind the other dogs in the shelter and walks well on a leash. He has been given his Parvo/lepto/distemper vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, he is heartworm negative, and microchipped. Our adoptions are $100 cash/local check and that includes the current year license. Our visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. We are located at 5066 County Home Rd. Tavi came to us after the sudden passing of a family member. She’s a very sweet, loving, and energetic dog that wants nothing more than to be by your side. She’s extremely smart and eager to please. She’s great with cats, kids, and small dogs. She hasn’t had much exposure to larger breed dogs, so she tends to be more hesitant around them. Unfortunately we just don’t have the time to give her the attention and care she deserves. She’d make a great companion in any active family household. She’s good in car rides and loves to adventure and explore.

Story

River is approximately two years old, approximately 40lbs and was originally adopted from Animal Friends July 2025. He is a very sweet dog, good with other dogs and children. He likes car rides, walks, and needs a fenced-in yard. He will try to escape through the front door, but will come to you if opening the car door. He also likes to take things off of counters and will steal your food, so things have to be put away until he grows out of this phase (common with puppies/young dogs). Both dogs have been able to get rather well until just recently. We have to re-home because our other dog is very possessive, and gets very jealous if River gets near me, and will start the fight. I was bitten by my other dog when trying to break them up, but River is not the aggressor. I am extremely saddened for having to surrender River, but I fear that my other dog will hurt him, and we've had to separate them on numerous occasions. River will make a great companion for someone.
