Story

Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Introducing Jenny Lopez!! She is a 13 week old border collie mix. She is very sweet and loves everyone. Jenny is full of puppy energy and loves to play with toys. She’s also happy to snuggle on your lap. She’s learning potty training and basic puppy manners. She already knows how to sit and shake! She loves kids and other dogs. She would be perfect for an active family or a household with a playful companion! She will steal your heart. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.
