Story
I need to rehome my Collie. Pudgy has a lot of energy and we've tried everything to calm her but nothing works. I believe she needs a big yard or farm to help her. We have a 9 month old in the home with a rare blood disease and with him being more active now, if Pudgy were to knock him down he could end up with internal bleeding. Even a little scratch could be fatal for him. We love Pudgy but we can no longer give her the time she needs.

Story
Meet Portland! Portland is a bundle of intelligence, energy, and goofy charm. He is a 4-year-old, 52-pound Australian Cattle Dog and Border Collie mix who loves being a part of the action. Portland is extremely loyal and loves spending time with his people. Whether it's playing a game of frisbee or sleeping the day away, he’s always ready to be your companion in fun and relaxation. Completely house-trained and comfortable sleeping in his crate at night, Portland is ready to settle into a new home. His favorite treats? Kongs filled with peanut butter and Whimzees! What Portland Needs: - A home without little kids and other dogs, where he can feel his space is respected. - Patience while he warms up to new people. - An energetic, fun-loving home where he can show off his athleticism sprinkled in between naps. If you’re looking for a playful companion who will be your little shadow buddy, Portland might be your perfect match! Portland is currently being fostered in the Indianapolis area. His adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. If interested in meeting Space please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org!

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Sterling - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Sterling, hey, hey all you fabulous folks out there, that's 'lil' ole me! I'm here looking to adopt me a family, a home...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of yours!!!! I am very shy at first meet but given some time and patience, I start to come out of my shell and show my sweet loving nature. Me and my siblings were part of an accidental litter. We have not had much socialization and will need a family to introduce us to all the great things in this big ole world. I am that proverbial lump of clay to be molded with gentle hands and kind words into your bestest family member. I am still a baby yet at only 4 months and should probably be around the 50-60lb area when I get myself fully growed up. I am so looking forward to learning...everything! I would love to be your lil sidekick on ALL your adventures. Once I'm comfortable I do great with people even the smaller versions. I also do great with other pups but I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat. If introduced properly at my young age I should do OK with them too. I would probably do best with a mentor 'sibling' to help show me the ropes in being a great family member. I would probably also do best in a home where my person is there a lot to spend extra time with me. I am soooo ready to unleash all this awesomeness (and I know it's in here) on my new family so if you think I could be a perfect fit for your home and lifestyle please just stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org These adorable siblings include - Sterling, Hollywood, Dallas and Dakota
