While some puppies rush headfirst into every situation, Jacques prefers to assess the scene before joining the fun—which is classic Border Collie behavior! His gentle, sweet temperament makes him a joy to be around, and he has done wonderfully with both people and adult dogs. As he grows, Jacques will thrive in a home that enjoys teaching and engaging a smart pup. Whether it's learning tricks, exploring new places, or simply being your loyal sidekick, this boy is ready to soak it all up. Jacques is still a baby and isn't fully potty trained yet, but he's already doing a great job consistently using pee pads and learning his puppy manners. Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Hi! My name is Banjo. I am a very sweet timid guy. I need the extra attention just to loosen up a little. I am timid when trying to get leashed, but I am not aggressive at all. I love treats an any food that comes at me. I do fine on leash and wouldn't mind going on a short walk nearby or let me roam in a play yard. I like attention and scratches on the head and back. I do fine with other dogs but a meet and greet is always a must. I should be fine around kids but prefer older children. Fenrir is a very sweet ~9 year old puppy who loves snuggles and attention. He has been a part of our family for nearly a decade but due to a recent move and allergies in the home we are looking to re-home him. He is very smart, trainable, and loving - but has minimal socializing with other dogs so he leads by barking. Despite a loud bark, he's never been aggressive towards other dogs. He does well with cats and kids. He loves to run free in a fenced in backyard but also does well on a leash. A small quirk is that he HATES trains. We moved near train tracks and he will bark/howl through the night if he hears one (and with those ears he hears EVERYTHING). We also have allergies in the house and he requires a lot of grooming upkeep due to his coat. He is a very good boy and it was with a heavy heart we made this decision. Chloe Bug is a beautiful girl that was brought into us by the dog warden. She is a scared little dog. We do not know her potty training status. She is quite small but is being guessed to be 2 years old. Stray Haven in an effort to help with the overcapacity of one of their partnering rescues, is crossposting the adoptable pets. Ripley County Humane Society is a beautiful non kill campus, comprised of three buildings on 13 sprawling acres in Osgood Indiana. Due to the remote location, they don't show up in the searches commonly made by adopters because they are just outside for the 30 mile radius of Cincinnati OH, Indianapolis IN and Louisville KY.
