He’s a good dog. He’s just about one years old. He’s house trained knows how to go outside. Go with kids. He is very hyper because he is so young. He needs a place where he can run. He loves to run and jump very kind response to command, such as sit lay down no Spit that out. Is able to understand very well. We are not able to keep up with him. I am an older owner and my schedule is very busy.

Meet Bear! Bear is such a beautiful dog with the sweetest golden brown eyes! He is a 1 year old happy, energetic and very smart Border Collie/German Shepherd mix and is on the smaller size, at 40lbs. We pulled Bear from a Kentucky shelter where he was on the Euthanasia list due to overcrowding. Bear is very playful and loving, and is a great balance of cuddles and adventure! He loves going on walks and running and playing in the back yard, but he also loves to snuggle up at the end of the day! He is learning to walk calmly on a leash, and gets very excited for adventures! Bear is in a Foster home with a cat sister and loves playing with her! He is very gentle and is always interested in hanging out with her! Bear may be best with female dogs as he seems to be selective with some males. He can be timid when meeting new dogs on walks, so he would need proper introductions. Bear's breed does require a lot of exercise, so he would need to have a fully fenced yard and would also require regular walks. Bear is young so adequate exercise keeps him from getting bored and helps him be on his best behavior! He may be a little too much for young children as he still jumps and will need to be trained so that he understands not to jump and other basic manners. He would also do best in a family that is very active! Bear is crate trained and potty trained, and is eager to learn new things! Suzie is around 7.5 years as per the shelter. She needs to shed a few extra pounds, but she has been showing great progress lately. She is fantastic with our 4 and 8-year-old sons, who love playing with her. Suzie is very loyal to her people and remains focused on them. She is not much interested in cats and has had no accidents in the house. Besides, she does not chew anything inappropriately. We're working on the basics of training, and Suzie is catching on quickly because she's a bright dog. She loves playing fetch and can keep going for hours if you have the energy. Pretty and Joy are pure bred shorthaired border collie sisters, 21 months old. Pretty is strong, and gentle. She desires to be obedient, listens and learns well. She has a strong herding instinct and would make a great working farm dog. Joy is energetic and playful. She needs more attention than Pretty and is a fun family pet. She likes playing tug and fetch, and would make a good agility dog if you wanted to teach her tricks. Both have lived outside full time with access to five acres on which they happily roam and play with our four boys. Ideally, a new home would offer lots of outdoor time and space like they are accustomed to. They could live indoors with outside time, but may not be compatible with other pets. They both play well with children and would be good as a family pet, companion, or working farm dogs. I prefer if they could go to the same family, but would be willing to re-home them separately.

Willow is about 2 and a half years old. She is super active and loves to chase birds. Willow is as loyal as they come and so adorable. She loves going out with you and then enjoys a nap. She is an early riser and an early to bed type of girl. Her fur is short and she doesn't shed a whole lot. She is 36 pounds and healthy. Willow loves going to the dog park to catch a frisbee but not so much play with other dogs. She is hit or miss with cats. Willow is also protective and will bark at people entering the house to make sure you are not under attack. What Willow needs is a new family that can be with her and be just as active as she is. She would thrive in a farm environment or someone with a fence. I am a full-time student about to start a job and need to rehome her as fast as possible. I love Willow so much and rehoming her was such a hard decision, but I know it's for the best.

Paging Dr. Doofensmertz. This handsome guy has become something of a celebrity around town with fans often stopping and calling him by name. Being that he is such a friendly and personable fella, he is always more than happy to stop and greet his adoring fans. Doofensmertz is particularly eager to meet other dogs and small children and may act himself silly trying to get their attention. Despite his fascination with them, his larger than life personality and belief that they all want to immediately wrestle with all 45-50 pounds of him and that can be overwhelming for smaller or more timid dogs and children. Doofensmertz also desperately wants to play with every living creature including cats or other small animals, however, they really do not prefer his go-to game of chase. Therefore, a home with smaller animals and/or children may not be the best fit for him. Doofensmertz loves to go on walks and does fairly well on the leash. He can struggle to remember not to pull when he sees someone or something that he wants to meet. He does sit nicely when asked before crossing the street. He is also fully house trained. This incredibly social guy absolutely loves to be where the family is which is why his crate is not his favorite place. He does not protest when he has to go in (unless you count his sad puppy-dog eyes) and he does sleep in it throughout the night without a peep. In addition to his incredible good looks, Doofensmertz is very intelligent 3 year old and enjoys some mental stimulation to keep his busy brain engaged and out of trouble. With that intelligence though comes the opportunity for him to learn some fun tricks with the perfect someone who is willing to put the time into the training.
