Story
Meet Woofie – The Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold.  Woofie loves quiet companionship—he’s happiest by your side, enjoying a walk, a cozy nap, or simply watching the world go by.  He’s intelligent and observant, picking up on your moods and always ready to offer comfort with his gentle presence.  Whether you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy or a calm, affectionate companion at home, Woofie is ready to be your devoted friend. With his sleek black coat, adorable white-tipped paws, and a little chest patch that looks like he’s wearing his Sunday best, Woofie is as handsome as he is kindhearted. This Border Collie mix has a calm, genteel personality that shines through in every wag of his tail and every soft nuzzle he gives. He had been running in a neighborhood for at least a year before he was caught, so he is still learning how to handle domesticated life, but he is doing very well!  He is the perfect mix of sweet, smart, and steady- a true gentleman in a furry coat.   ##2574104##

Story
Hiya! My name is Prudence. I am a sweet girl who loves scratches from you. I do have a flea allergy which is easy to treat. I just need that extra tlc. I do know how to sit and get a treat, but I also love squeaky toys like crazy. I will cry if you don't give me the toy. I should be fine around other dogs. I do need to see if I like cats or kids. I am sweet. Give me that chance to give you love.To adopt one of our animals, please visit our shelter, open Tuesday-Friday from Noon-5pm and Saturday from Noon-4pm. Story
Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. If interested in meeting Space please fill out an application at www.rescueahart.org!

Story
These four adorable puppies are the perfect mix of playful, scruffy, and sweet. Born in mid-November, they’re about 2.5 months old and currently weigh around 6 pounds each. Their mom is a small Border Collie mix and their dad is a small terrier, and all four inherited the cutest little scruffy beards you can imagine. Meet Charlie Brown. He is one of four puppies from the Peanuts Gang. Charlie is a striking little guy with beautiful, unique markings and an irresistibly scruffy face. He’s a gentle soul who can be a bit shy at first—sometimes the “hide under the couch and observe” type when meeting new dogs. Once he feels safe and comfortable, though, his playful side comes out and he truly enjoys joining in. Charlie is often the first to fall asleep after playtime and sometimes prefers to rest off by himself, recharging in his own quiet way. He would thrive in a home that understands that confidence can bloom gently and that a little patience goes a long way with a puppy as sweet as he is. They’re being fostered in the Cincinnati area, where they’re learning all about being happy, curious puppies. They absolutely love toys, zooming around the house, and chasing each other in classic puppy fashion. When playtime winds down, they’re big fans of cozy moments and crunching on puppy treats and bone broth ice cubes. These pups are social, playful, and full of personality, and they’re ready to find families who will help them grow into confident, loved dogs. Each one has their own unique charm and quirks. They have had no experience yet with house training or leash training. They have been sleeping together at night in a small room. Charlie Brown is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Their mom is a small Border Collie mix and their dad is a small terrier, and all four inherited the cutest little scruffy beards you can imagine. Meet Lucy VanPelt. She is one of four puppies from the Peanuts Gang. Lucy is a true sweetheart and a little old soul in a puppy’s body. She’s one of those rare puppies who would rather lick you than nip, and she’s perfectly content being held close—even snuggled in a pouch. Lucy is very much a people puppy and loves human connection more than anything. She would do wonderfully as an only dog if that’s what her future family needs, but she’s also curious and playful with other dogs and would be just fine in a multi-dog home. What really sets Lucy apart is her ability to listen and sit calmly, something you don’t see often in puppies her age. She has a peaceful, loving presence that makes you feel chosen the moment she looks at you. They’re being fostered in the Cincinnati area, where they’re learning all about being happy, curious puppies. Their mom is a small Border Collie mix and their dad is a small terrier, and all four inherited the cutest little scruffy beards you can imagine. Meet Sally Brown. She is one of four puppies from the Peanuts Gang. Sally lives life at 100 miles per hour—until suddenly she’s curled up in your lap, fast asleep or asking to be held for a play break. She has an adorable scruffy little face and beautiful markings on her ears that make her extra hard to resist. Sally can get very excited and sometimes leads with her teeth when she’s inviting play, which is completely normal puppy behavior. She’ll do best with someone who understands puppy energy and is comfortable gently guiding and redirecting that enthusiasm. The best part? Just as quickly as she comes in hot, she’ll roll over and soak up all the love, melting into a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug.
