Story
This is athena. She is 4 years old, her birthday is january 23rd 2022. We got her from somebody on Facebook Jan, 2025 to keep her from going to the shelter. Sadly after having her for a little over a year, we don't think a dog is right for our family at this time. She is a great dog but we have 4 small children so it's just too hard to keep up with them and her. She will come with a fair deal of stuff, toys, some food, leashes, collars, some shirts, i also have a kennel but not the mat that came with it. She loves stuffed animals and pools. Not a fan of hard chews and is allergic to Minties brushing chews. She is fully house trained and kennel trained, can do some tricks such as sit, jump, occasional accidental somersault. Her recall is great but you may have to call a few times if something really has her attention. She's a sweet dog, pretty well trained in my experience, I just don't think we're ready for a dog.

Story
Lucie Bee is a 2 year, 7 month old female Golden Retriever (about 68 lbs) and her BFF Buddy is a 3 year, 8 month old Border Collie/Akita mix (about 50lbs) and they are the kind of pair who just belong together! These two came to GRRAND after their family experienced a heartbreaking loss, and through all of the change in their world, they’ve held tightly to the one thing that has remained constant: each other. They are wonderfully bonded, deeply connected, and, as one person lovingly described them, “like peanut butter and jelly.” Buddy Bee is the black-and-white charmer of the pair — friendly, social, and full of love. He doesn’t know a stranger and seems to believe every person he meets is simply a friend he hasn’t said hello to yet. He’s the more outgoing half of this duo and brings a happy, easy warmth wherever he goes. Lucie Bee is Buddy’s beautiful golden sidekick. She’s a little softer and more sensitive at first, but once she settles in, she does just fine. If Buddy is the social butterfly, Lucie is the sweet soul who takes a minute to look around, make sure all is well, and then quietly let her lovely personality shine. She’s a good girl who seems to draw comfort from having Buddy close by... And Buddy is very happy to oblige! These two truly seem to balance each other in the best way — Buddy bringing the confidence, Lucie bringing the gentle heart, and both of them bringing a whole lot of sweetness to the table. Lucie is also facing a medical hurdle right now. After arriving at GRRAND not wanting to bear weight on one of her back legs, she was evaluated by our vet and diagnosed with a torn CCL, which means she will need surgery. Because of that, GRRAND will be looking for a medical foster for Lucie while she recovers. Our hope, of course, is to find a foster willing and able to take both Buddy and Lucie together, because they are so very close. We also understand that fostering a dog recovering from orthopedic surgery while also taking on a bonded pair is a big ask. If needed, they may have to be temporarily separated during Lucie’s recovery, but only if absolutely necessary. Buddy Bee and Lucie Bee are looking for a soft place to land, a family who will appreciate the sweetness of a bonded pair, and a home where they can continue the next chapter of life together. They’ve already been through a great deal, but they still have so much love to give to a loving new family. If your heart has room for two very special best friends, Buddy Bee and Lucie Bee would love to meet you, so please fill out an app at GRRAND.org and we can make this meet and greet happen!   ##2778287##

Story
Meet Tiffany! Tiffany is a 5-year, 11-month-old Terrier/Border Collie mix with a sweet, gentle nature. She and her daughter, Jessie, are looking for a new home through no fault of their own. Their owner is experiencing health issues that have made it increasingly difficult for her to provide the care they deserve. While they search for their forever family, Tiffany and Jessie are remaining in their owner's home as foster dogs, helping to make this transition as comfortable as possible for everyone involved. Tiffany has spent her entire life with Jessie, and the two are believed to share a very strong bond. Because of this, we would love to find a home willing to welcome both girls together so they can continue to enjoy each other's companionship. This lovely girl is looking for a family that will give her the love, stability, and care she deserves. As we learn more about Tiffany, we'll continue to share updates about her personality and preferences. If you're looking to open your heart and home to a wonderful dog—or even better, a loving mother-daughter pair—Tiffany and Jessie may be the perfect fit!

Story
Momo came into our lives about a month ago on a bit of a trial run gone wrong. We were supposed to have a few days with him to see how he got along in our home and how he adjusted to our cat. We found out they do not get along at all (more her than him), and that our space is not large enough to fully keep them separated long term without eventual issue, but his original owners were unable to take him back. In the month he’s been with us, he’s been a GREAT dog - our setup is just less than ideal for him. He’s incredibly loving and cuddly, has a lot of energy, and loves a good pet. The only “issue” he seems to have is with small animals, he chases after squirrels and rabbits on site and that’s the same issue with our cat. Had him around other dogs and he’s been fine, he’s lived around small children, really he just needs a space that is small animal free. Think he would be great for a family’s first dog or anyone who can give him the love and attention he deserves!
