To schedule a time to meet her, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- Busy girl who is always walking around, following people and checking things out, but once she is tired, she likes to sit on her foster family's lap or beside them and snuggle - Very smart - knows her name now and is learning sit and shake; food-motivated if you have the right treat! - 99% potty trained in her foster home, has had no accidents in her crate and goes potty outside shortly after being taken out; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine - Goes into her crate very nicely and is quiet in there both when her family leaves and at night - Can be vocal when first meeting new people, but she is quick to warm up; did well visiting her foster family's neighbors recently - they let her take things at her own pace, and she let everyone meet her and pet her without barking once - Can also be vocal around other things that make her uncomfortable, like people's arms making fast/big movements and the vacuum cleaner- Gets along very well with all the dogs in her foster home - she plays/wrestles with the ones that like that and leaves the ones who don't alone; may enjoy and benefit from having a dog friend in her new home - May do best in a free-standing home vs. an apartment or attached-living situation because of the high-traffic nature of attached-living complexes and her discomfort with people she doesn't know The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

She is fully potty trained, very smart, and thrives on routine. Moxie needs a very quiet home with no kids and people who understand fearful dogs.Moxie needs to be an only dog. Moxie does fine with dog saavy cats. She walks nicely on leash when she feels safe and enjoys hiking, agility and paddle boarding. She does not like crowds or loud noises and she’ll need a quiet, safe space during fireworks.She is an active dog who needs regular exercise and mental stimulation. She loves toys (especially squeaky ones), is treat-motivated when comfortable, and has shown great potential in training despite minimal experience.
