Story
******Please call or text Freddys Mom at 810-423-7979 to set up an appointment to meet this cute little guy. Freddy is in Goodrich Michigan ******* Freddy is a 4.5 year old Border collie / Aussie cattle dog mix dog. He is a super sweet dog and the family is broken up on having to re home him. But they have had health issues and are getting older in age, and Freddy just can’t get the attention and exercise he needs. They think he would do best with a fenced in yard. Or a farm to run around on. He has gotten off his leash in the past and has Never ran away. If the front door is open he will try to get out. Thats about the worse of it. Freddy is good with kids and other dogs. He does like to chase the family cat but has never hurt it. Currently the family has 6 grandkids of all ages and has never been an issue. Freddy’s one issue is he is not that good in cars. But he hasn’t been on many rides but the current mom is stating he’s not that good. But there are things to do to make it a better experience Freddy is neutered and Up to date on shots and worming meds. He weights approximately 30 pounds Adoption fee is 100.00 Please call or text Freddy’s mom at 810-423-7979 to set up appointment to meet Freddy Not every person knows how to love a Dog, but every dog knows how to love a person.

Story
Meet Harley!Harley is a 10-month-old Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix with a heart as big as his paws. He currently weighs about 55 lbs—and he’s still growing! This sweet, affectionate, and loyal boy loves being close to his people. He can be a little nervous when meeting new folks, so slow introductions are important. He hasn’t spent time around young children, so we’re looking for a home with no kids under 15.Harley is an active pup who needs an active adopter or family that can match his energy. He loves toys—if you bring him a new one, you’re instantly his best friend. He’s dog-selective and isn’t a fan of small dogs or cats. He does best with larger dogs and would love a confident canine companion close to his size.A fenced-in yard is a must for Harley. He thrives outdoors and would be happiest with space to run, play, and soak up the sun.Harley has so much potential and just needs the right environment to shine. Could that be with you?Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. We do not DNA test. Please feel free to call us with any questions.

Kate A17471727 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -Super playful and bouncy gal!-Loves toys. Any and all! She prances around the yard with them in her mouth throwing them around.-She’s also a lapdog and loves to be close for pets and cuddles-Super treat motivated. Working on “sit” still. Takes snacks nicely.-Needs puppy training and a job to do-Ok on a leash but needs some practice still-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. •The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Story
This girl ended in the shelter due to her owner being arrested and not being able to find her a home. Gracie is a great dog who has fit into her foster home quite well. She is learning about cats and being on a leash. She is housebroken with a dog door but was also house trained without one. She is a bit of energy so will need an active family to keep up! She is friendly and has gotten a long with other dogs of various sizes really well. She loves to play and is pure fun! She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Mork and Mindy were found by a dumpster at an apartment complex looking lost and bewildered. So, we decided to take them to the clinic to get them all checked out and cleaned up to see if we could find them a loving home. Mork has been fully vetted, up to date on all shots, neutered and microchipped. So, he is all ready to go to his new forever home. Won't you send in an inquiry about him to see if you are a good match? We are pretty sure that Mork and Mindy are simply looking for a family they can live with and show all of their attention and love to. They were so sad when we found them but have warmed up to our staff and are extremely loving. They are very playful and just love all of the attention. If you would like to add the darling Mork to your home, please respond by using the big black button marked " Ask About Me" and we will send you an application. These dogs are being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
