** CURRENTLY IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME, PLEASE SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MEETING ME!! ** 💛🐾 MEET ARI 🐾💛 Sweet Ari… a dog who has already overcome so much, and one of the most deeply loving souls you will ever meet. When Ari first arrived, she was absolutely terrified. You couldn’t approach her, you couldn’t sit near her, the world felt too big, too scary, too unknown. But with patience, kindness, and time… everything changed. Within just a few weeks, this same scared girl was sleeping in bed, soaking up belly rubs, and learning what it truly means to feel safe and loved. 🌿 HER BEAUTIFUL TRANSFORMATION Ari is naturally a shy, sensitive dog, but when she feels secure, her personality blooms. 💛 Playful with her dog friends 💛 Loves running freely in the yard 💛 Adores walks and outdoor adventures 💛 A total cuddle bug when it’s time to relax She has discovered joy. She has discovered comfort. And most importantly… she has discovered trust. 🐾 WHAT ARI NEEDS TO THRIVE Ari’s next home must be one that understands her heart. ✔️ A securely fenced yard is REQUIRED for her safety and confidence ✔️ Another playful, confident dog is REQUIRED, she truly blossoms with a canine companion ✔️ A quiet, low-traffic home ✔️ No children ✔️ An experienced adopter who understands fearful or shy dogs Ari bonds deeply, but she needs the space to do it on her terms. She cannot be rushed or forced, and in return, she will give you a level of loyalty that is incredibly special. 💭 A FEW THINGS TO KNOW • Fully house trained. • Does not require a crate. • Learning to enjoy car rides, will need continued positive exposure. • Not a fan of baths or nail trims (who is, honestly?). • Has allergies that are well managed with Apoquel. She may initially feel more comfortable with women, but with patience, she has shown she can build trust with men too. 💖 HER PERFECT MATCH Ari is looking for someone who understands that healing isn’t linear, and that the most meaningful bonds take time. Someone who will: • Let her come to them • Celebrate her small wins • Give her consistency, safety, and love In return? You’ll get a loyal shadow, a snuggle partner, and a dog who will choose you, fully and forever. 🌅 THE LIFE SHE DESERVES Ari deserves slow mornings, sunny afternoons in the yard, playful moments with her dog friend, and peaceful nights curled up beside her person. She’s not just looking for a home. She’s looking for her safe place. 📩 Apply to adopt Ari and be the one who gives her the second chance she’s waited for. Requirements: 1. Fenced in yard! 2. Another dog!

Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Meet Mamacita! This amazing baby is a female Border Collie mix who was born around 7/01/20. She weighs in at 48 pounds full of love and affection. She’s current on her vaccines and is being treated for heartworms on slow kill method by The Artemis Project, who will continue to provide the medications for the duration of my treatment even if you adopt me so please don’t let that stop you! This beautiful lady has a great personality! She's gentle, a little shy, and quietly hoping for someone to notice her. She's simply looking for a home where she’ll be loved and treated like a member of the family. She’s gonna make some lucky family the bestest companion, full of love and loyalty. She is great with other dogs as well as kids... and she even gets along with cats!! Her foster family says this: "She's great! Potty trained knows commands and just all around happy. Loves to cuddle. This little girl will be your BEST buddy! Mamacita loves to be in the same room, and she will snuggle if you ask for it, but otherwise does her own thing. She LOVES to "talk" - she "talks" to the younger doggos, "talks" to the TV, and "talks" to us sometimes. She thinks cats could be a lot of fun, until they tell her NO. She has made friends with the other dogs. She has been the BEST foster we have EVER had, and she is going to make someone an AMAZING friend!" Please set up a meet and greet with Mamacita ASAP. She’s excited to find her forever home with her new loving family. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. Story
Max was born on Christmas on a farm in the thumb area. He was re-housed by a family connection and we got him as a gift for our son’s third birthday. Our son has since had a seizure and been diagnosed with epilepsy and we are unable to keep Max due to those complications. He is sweet. He loves attention and walks and playing fetch. He is house trained other than when new people come around and he trickles a little. He can sit on command and is working on not jumping. Max is very anxious about car rides, the vet and grooming. We have an anxiety med for these situations since grooming is a must with border collies. He is a puppy with puppy energy. He is not yet neutered but is fully vaccinated and up to date on monthly flea/tick/worm prevention. Max will come with a beautiful wood crate, his toys, bowls, lick mats and walking leash with no-pull harness. He will be a great addition to any size family but really little kids may be too small for his energy.
