What’s up, future bestie? I’m Billy, a 20-month-old Dutch Shepherd/Border Collie mix (yes, I swear the Dutch Shepherd is in there somewhere). I’m here to tell you why adopting me will be the most chaotic—and BEST—decision of your life. First things first: I’ve got boundless energy. Like, forget the Energizer Bunny—I’m on a whole other level. Some might say I’m “on crack” (but legally, it’s just my personality). Now, about strangers... they’re weird, and I’m not always sure how I feel about them at first. But once I figure out they’re cool, I’m all in. Just give me a little time to warm up, and I’ll be their favorite Velociraptor, too. What else? Oh, yeah—I LOVE to play. Fetch? Yes. Tug? Yes. Games that haven’t been invented yet? Also yes. Meet Dalgom – A Sweet & Social 3-Month-Old Puppy! Name: Dalgom Age: 3 months Sex: Male Neutered: No – too young Breed: Jindo / Border Collie Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 6.4 kg (14 lbs) Height: 35 cm (13.8 in) at the shoulder Rescue Story Dalgom was found all alone in a cage near a rural reservoir, left outside under the scorching sun. Thankfully, someone spotted him and reached out for help, allowing this little puppy to be rescued and given a chance at a safe and happy life. ‍‍ Personality & People Dalgom is an incredibly friendly and affectionate puppy who loves people! He happily approaches both familiar faces and complete strangers, rubbing against them for attention and allowing himself to be petted right away. He is comfortable with both men and women and can easily be picked up and held. He’s so trusting that he’ll even show his belly to someone he has just met. With Other Dogs Dalgom is just as social with dogs as he is with people. He readily approaches unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play, and he gets along well with dogs both bigger and smaller than himself. He enjoys playing with energetic dogs and generally avoids conflict if another dog tries to provoke him. He’s a happy, playful little guy who loves having canine friends. With Cats Dalgom has not yet been observed around cats, but a cat test can be arranged upon request. Energy Level Dalgom has a moderate puppy energy level. He enjoys being active and playing, but once he’s had his fun, he settles down nicely and rests. Like most puppies his age, he also sleeps quite a bit. Walks Dalgom has not started regular walks yet, as he is still completing his puppy vaccinations and has currently received his second round. Food & Other Behaviours Dalgom does not generally guard food from people or other dogs. He can usually eat peacefully around other dogs, although occasional puppy disagreements over food bowls can happen. He does not initiate conflict, but may respond if another dog challenges him. He currently whines quite a bit when placed in a crate, so he is being introduced to crate training gradually and positively. House Training Dalgom currently uses indoor pee pads and is also able to eliminate outdoors. As he is only 3 months old, his house-training skills are still developing. Ideal Home Dalgom is a young puppy with a wonderfully social, affectionate nature and lots of growing and learning ahead of him. He would do best with a family ready to continue his puppy training, socialization, leash training, and crate training with patience and consistency. Hi everyone! I am a very handsome Border Collie/Heeler mix named Gooster. At 7 months old and 22 lbs, I am tall and lean, right in my teenage "lanky phase.” I was one of a litter of five stray puppies brought into the Port Lavaca, Texas Animal Shelter and promptly set for euthanasia. It’s a hard life in this region. Lots of ranches and industry, working dogs and stray dogs, and the shelter is too small to house everyone. Thankfully, 4 Little Paws Rescue has been taking us all in, fully vetting everyone, and placing us in foster homes from here to San Antonio! My foster mom says I’m a sweetheart, a diamond in the “ruff,” a shy boy initially, but just a couple of days in, and I’m feeling safe, warming up, and then topping it all off by running zoomies to let you know that I feel HAPPY! I love squeaky dog toys, lick mats with peanut butter, playtime with my doggy friends, and I know how to play gently with smaller dogs and puppies. I am affectionate, enjoying pets and getting kisses on my forehead, snuggling beside my foster mom, and my favorite place to lounge and sprawl out, flat like a pancake, is on a dog-approved reclining chair. I’m smart, and I’m a people pleaser, very much a good boy, easily redirected from any mischievous puppy shenanigans. I am already house-trained, and I’ll bark to remind you it’s mealtime.
