Meet Winter, a resilient Collie mix with a heart as bright as her name. Back in April, we received a call about a group of puppies who weren’t being cared for properly. Among them was Winter. She had already endured more than any puppy should—caught in a home with neglect and drug abuse, she was kicked by one of the owners, leaving her front leg broken and untreated. When we arrived in Tuscaloosa and saw her pain and fear, we knew immediately that she needed us. The very next day, our vet confirmed the break. With proper care, love, and healing, Winter made a full recovery. Today, she’s thriving—happy, energetic, and playful, with all the sweetness you could ask for in a companion. Her beautiful white coat with warm red patches and her soulful eyes make her just as stunning on the outside as she is strong on the inside. Winter is ready for her forever home—a family who will treasure not only her playful energy and loving nature, but also the story of resilience she carries with her. Like, forget the Energizer Bunny—I’m on a whole other level. Some might say I’m “on crack” (but legally, it’s just my personality). I’m basically a dog-shaped Velociraptor with an Olympic-level zoomie game. If you’ve got a dog who loves to play and can match my level of insanity, we’ll be BFFs in no time. 🦖🐾 Cats? Meh, not really my vibe—unless your cat is super dog-savvy and can handle my velociraptor energy. Small dogs? Nah, they’re not ready for this jelly. Big dogs who love chaos? YES, LET’S GO. Now, about strangers... they’re weird, and I’m not always sure how I feel about them at first. But once I figure out they’re cool, I’m all in. DOB 1-29+2025 Gorgeous Evie loves to play with her friends and toys, she gets along with everyone and is social with all people. This girl of course has lots of energy, she is crate trained, around 50 [pounds and working on leash training. Evie is spayed, up to date on shots, Heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 preventative injection. Her adoption fee is 600.00 and transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they run every other week to stops in the N.E. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
