Story
(DOB 08/07/2024) Ocean is a stunning border collie mix with a glossy black coat and mesmerizing blue eyes that will steal your heart. This sweet girl is all about companionship—always eager to be close to her people, whether she's lounging at your feet or rolling over for belly rubs. She’s a joyful, affectionate soul who loves giving kisses and aims to make everyone happy. Incredibly smart and super food-motivated, Ocean is a quick learner who loves to challenge her mind. Her athleticism and agility make her a perfect fit for active families—whether it’s dock diving, agility, or simply chasing after a ball. She enjoys fetch, though her bring-back game is still a work in progress—and with her high prey drive, she’s best suited for a home without cats or small critters. Ocean gets along great with other dogs and has enjoyed her time at doggie daycare. She’s crate trained and house trained when kept on a consistent schedule. With her energetic spirit, a tall fenced yard where she can run and play would be ideal, but she’s also happy with daily walks or hikes, especially if she gets some extra playtime at daycare. She’s best with older kids, as her zest for life can sometimes be a little overwhelming for the little ones. A harness works best for walks, as she tends to pull a bit. Overall, Ocean is a lively, lovable girl looking for a family that can match her energy and shower her with love! As part of Ocean’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Ocean, you can complete an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2507368##

This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Sasha the Snuggle-Pup – “Fluffy, Fun, and Full of Personality!” By: CozyDogMom Wow. Just wow. Sasha has the softest, floofiest coat I’ve ever experienced—like hugging a cloud that wants to play fetch. She’s goofy in the best way and is always game for an adventure (or a nap). Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cuddle buddy with a dash of sass!   Trick-Learning Prodigy – “Smart, silly, and training like a champ.” By: FirstTimePupTrainer Sasha picks up on commands FAST. She’s eager to please and super treat-motivated. We’re working on “sit,” “stay,” and “don’t chew the shoe,” and she’s nailing it. She does test boundaries (toddler energy!), but with consistency, she thrives. If you love training sessions, she’s your girl.   Best with Big-Dog Buddies – ½ “Loves confident canine companions—but no cats, please.” By: PackLeaderVibes Sasha truly shines around other confident dogs her size or bigger. She takes cues from them beautifully and gains confidence quickly. But homes with cats or small dogs? Not her vibe. She’s got a big personality and needs friends who can match her energy.   Kid-Friendly-ish – “Great with older kids, not for toddlers.” By: DogDadWithTeens Sasha adores kids—but younger ones might find her a bit too clever for comfort! She does best with older children who can stick to consistent commands and not let her sneak an extra treat (or three). Think “fun-loving puppy meets tiny lawyer.”   All the Essentials Included – “Vaccinated, spayed, and ready to move in.” By: ReadyToAdopt Fully vetted, spayed, and healthy—this pup is as turnkey as they come. No assembly required (unless you count assembling a toy collection for her). Sasha is absolutely adoption-ready!   Final Verdict: A Must-Adopt! – “She’s not just a good dog—she’s a great dog.” By: FutureBestFriend If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, fun-loving pup who thrives on affection and structure, Sasha is the perfect pick. No cats, no tiny dogs—but tons of love and laughter guaranteed. ##2056176##

At just 36 pounds, Jolene is compact enough to fit in your car, your lap, and your heart—but not your social calendar if it includes other dogs. She’s not here for pack life. She’s here to be your one and only, your ride-or-die, your queen bee. Other dogs? Hard pass. Jolene wants the spotlight, and honestly, she deserves it. She’s currently boarding with a trainer and crushing it—learning the ropes, snuggling her stuffies, and plotting world domination (or at least domination of your couch). She has energy for days, so if your lifestyle is more “let’s hike this trail” and less “let’s binge-watch eight seasons of a show without moving,” she’s your girl. Jolene is accepting applications for: Humans who enjoy brisk walks, stuffed toy destruction, and unwavering loyalty. Households with no other pets (her words, not ours: “I will not be sharing my throne.”) Anyone who has ever looked at a dog and thought, “you might just be a tiny, unbothered celebrity.” Think you’re the chosen one? Apply to foster or adopt at pipsrescue.org. Just don’t bring any other dogs with you. Jolene will see them. She will judge.  $100 of her adoption fee is being sponsored by Ricci Law Firm Injury Lawyers, so her adoption fee is $225  ##1611630##

Story
Meet Tuna! 🐾 She came to us with her brother Bruno. They were both extremely malnourished, but after 3 vet visits and lots of TLC she is doing great! Tuna is a 4-month-old bundle of happiness with the sweetest white tuft of fur on her chest, big floppy ears that can’t decide which way to go, and a long tail that’s always wagging! She’s potentially a Labrador and Border Collie mix, which means she’s smart, confident, and full of life. Tuna has a fun, independent personality. She’s the kind of puppy who loves to explore on her own and figure things out, but she’s never far from her people when it’s time for some attention or a cuddle. She’s curious about everything and approaches the world with a happy, adventurous spirit. She’s doing wonderfully with crate training and quickly learning the ropes of her routine. Her confidence helps her adjust easily to new environments, and she seems to take everything in stride. Tuna enjoys her playtime, whether it’s chasing toys, romping around the yard, or just rolling over for belly rubs when she’s ready for a break. Despite her playful independence, Tuna has a loving side that shines through once she’s had a little time to settle in. She’s affectionate without being clingy — the perfect balance of sweet and self-assured. Tuna would do great in a home that appreciates her smarts and gives her room to explore, play, and keep learning. Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy, a park companion, or a loyal friend to share your couch, Tuna’s ready to be your girl. She’s confident, happy, and full of potential — all she needs now is a family to grow up with and love forever. Apply to adopt Tuna today!
