We adopted Waylon at 10 weeks. Once bringing him home, our cat has not been happy. These past couple of days our cat had stopped eating. We took several days/weeks to introduce them slowly with supervised visits. Waylon is a puppy, we know but once he sees the cat he will attack almost like a hunting dog. Waylon with the right training would be great on farm or hunting dog. My husband and I do not live on a farm. We also think he would do great with another dog at home that he can play with. We know he needs more time to run and play but my husband and I both work. We have reached out to a trainer. They said he needs lots of things to keep up with his high enegery. We are doing our best. We want him to have a good life. But also want our cat happy too. He is almost up to date with all his puppy shots, he was heartwarmed in November. He had a fecal sample done a few weeks ago and it came back negative. I have all paperwork from vet. He is also crate trained.

We have had Luke for 2+ years. A wonderful time and he loves chasing a ball, playing tug, running, running, and a big snuggle bug. In the last two months he has begun to not do as well with our young kids as they have gotten bigger and more mobile. We have come to the difficult conclusion to rehome him before anything else occurs for our young kids safety. He had been in a house with 6/3/3 year olds. Does live with another dog and does fine with them but can be timid around other dogs but cares about balls more. Pattie is a 1.5-year-old Border Collie mix with a playful, affectionate nature and a bright, eager-to-learn personality. She has a sweet and loving disposition, always ready to give affection to those she trusts. With patience, consistency, and persistent training, Pattie will no doubt improve her skills and become a well-mannered and devoted companion. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful addition to a home! Although Pattie doesn't seem to mind the presence of other dogs, we feel that she would prefer to be the only dog in the home. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Max knows basic commands, is fully housebroken, and enjoys toys, bones, and relaxing in his crate, though he prefers to be by your side. He walks well on a leash but may pull or react when he sees other dogs. He’s played nicely with dogs before, but slow introductions work best. Max loves being with his person, whether he’s fetching a ball, getting belly rubs, or resting his head in your lap. Like most Aussies, he’s alert, aware of his surroundings, and may try to herd small children or animals. He’ll thrive in a home familiar with herding breeds and able to guide his energy in a positive way. Max needs a yard to run in or someone who is reasonably active to help him stay happy and balanced through walks, play, and mental stimulation. Bonnie is a 2 year old Aussie shepherd/sheltie mix female. She is only 25 pounds and does not mind being an only dog. She is dog selective but prefers males and will play non stop. She is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and spayed and ready to go to her new home. She jumps up a lot. Working on the jumping but part of that is her young energy. She loves to kiss people and likes sitting outside when it is sunny. To adopt Bonnie, please do our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org so we can see if you are a good match. She was positive for Anaplasma Phagocytophilum and Lyme tick disease so we will gave her medication for 30 days. She will need to have bloodwork done again in another 6 months to see if she needs any antibiotic again. It is cheap (around $10 for 30 pills) and is a small pill. Hopefully it is cleared up now.
