Meet Griddle!! He came in as a stray on 5/29/26. We think he is about 10 months old. He has gorgeous blue eyes and he is tall and lanky. He isn't done growing yet and he seems like he is still learning how to adjust to his growth spurts. He obviously has never walked on a leash so that is a learning curve for him. Practice makes perfect and he is starting to catch on. He is sweet and friendly and goofy. He is just a pup so he will need someone willing to teach him everything he needs to know to be a wonderful companion. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him! In the Prison Dog Program Meet Damian!! He came in as a stray on 11/16/25, and we think he’s about 3 years old. This is actually his second time here—he was adopted from us in 2023. We aren't sure why his owner hasn’t come in to pick him up, but what we do know is that Damian is ready to start fresh with someone who truly sees his sparkle. Damian is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky guy who just needs someone who can help him channel all that enthusiasm into fun, love, and adventure. He is super sweet, incredibly friendly, and he gives the kind of gentle kisses that melt your heart on contact. He already knows how to sit and shake, and he’s eager to learn more—especially if treats are involved! Damian is housebroken and crate trained. He is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet this lovable boy who’s hoping his next home is his forever one. Bear is a great energetic boy, so sweet and loving. Loves cuddles. We are looking to rehome him as we are having another baby and 2 under 2 we don’t have much time for him and he deserves all the attention! He is house trained but not crate trained as we leave him out. He doesn’t use the bathroom in the house only times we have had accidents is when we are gone all day working. Both my partner and I. Which isn’t often we work same times! So overall no issues and such a sweet boy who deserves more outside time and attention.

We found this girl wandering the street and took her in to keep her safe. We attempted to find her a good home 3 different times in the past and it never worked out (reasons unknown). We always got a call that she was found on the streets again and returned to us because she is chipped and her potential new owners never changed the owner information so we were always listed as her owners. The last time she was found on the street, we took her back in but she does not get along with our dogs and it's become very difficult for us now that I am disabled. We believe she has possibly become deaf and because we have other dogs in our family, we cannot give her the attention she needs. She would love a big fenced in yard to run around with someone who has the time to give her special love and attention in her senior years. She currently stays inside a huge crate (meant for Great Dane size), she does not want to come out or play because of our dogs. For more info on her, please contact us.

Say hello to ASHER! Asher and his furry family are famous and have won the hearts of our Ashland community (see video on our Facebook page). Asher was born on March 27, 2026 We think Momma is an Australian Kelpie and she weights 35 pounds. It's hard to say what the puppies are mixed with, as mom was on the run for many months meeting all the local boys in town. Asher is all things puppy! He is adorable, clumsy, funny, no sense of personal space, playful, energetic, nosy, attention seeking and a bundle of joy! Is there anything better than puppy breath?!? Adoption fee is $250 All Ashland County Humane Society animals' adoption fees include: spay/neuter micro-chip de-worming vaccinations, including rabies heartworm prevention If you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit: www.ashlandhumane.org/adoption-application (copy and paste link to address bar) for a printable application.
