Story
Hi there, I'm Sedona! I am a border collie mixed breed girl who is currently doing well with my foster family but am looking for my forever home. I am believed to be around 6 months old or so. I love people, and I love walks!! I am still very puppy and playful! But I am smart and learning new training every day. I am patient and treat-motivated. I do not take long to warm up -- I love friends! Can I be your new best friend?

Story
✨Meet Lady Glitter Sparkles✨ Yes. That is her government name. And yes—she earned it. Lady Glitter Sparkles arrived as a stray on 3/11/26, likely after finishing a world tour of being fabulous and sprinkling joy (and probably a little chaos) wherever she went. At about 2 years old, she is in her prime: confident, charming, and fully aware that she is, in fact, the moment. She is a pretty girl who absolutely lives up to her name—minus the actual glitter (we checked… mostly). She’s incredibly sweet, super friendly, and operates under one very important belief system: “Everyone I meet is my best friend, and every hot dog belongs to me.” Speaking of hot dogs… if you have one, congratulations—you now have Lady Glitter Sparkles’ full attention, loyalty, and possibly your personal space revoked. She will love you deeply, immediately, and with zero hesitation. She may look like a big glamorous superstar in her photos, but plot twist—she’s actually around 40 lbs of pure sparkle and sass. Compact. Portable. Perfect for your everyday life upgrade. Lady Glitter Sparkles is the kind of dog who turns heads, steals hearts, and probably assumes every room she enters has a spotlight. And honestly? She’s not wrong. ✨If your home is missing a little sparkle, a lot of personality, and a hot dog enthusiast with main character energy—your girl is waiting.✨ 📍 Lady Glitter Sparkles is located at the Richland County Dog Shelter in Mansfield, OH 📞 419-774-5892 📧 dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov Adoption is an application process—apply today and add a little ✨dazzle✨ to your life.

Story
Meet Griddle!! He came in as a stray on 5/29/26. We think he is about 10 months old. He has gorgeous blue eyes and he is tall and lanky. He isn't done growing yet and he seems like he is still learning how to adjust to his growth spurts. He obviously has never walked on a leash so that is a learning curve for him. Practice makes perfect and he is starting to catch on. He is sweet and friendly and goofy. He is just a pup so he will need someone willing to teach him everything he needs to know to be a wonderful companion. He is available for adoption so hurry in to meet him! Story
In the Prison Dog Program Meet Damian!! He came in as a stray on 11/16/25, and we think he’s about 3 years old. This is actually his second time here—he was adopted from us in 2023. We aren't sure why his owner hasn’t come in to pick him up, but what we do know is that Damian is ready to start fresh with someone who truly sees his sparkle. Damian is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky guy who just needs someone who can help him channel all that enthusiasm into fun, love, and adventure. He is super sweet, incredibly friendly, and he gives the kind of gentle kisses that melt your heart on contact. He already knows how to sit and shake, and he’s eager to learn more—especially if treats are involved! He is available for adoption, so hurry in to meet this lovable boy who’s hoping his next home is his forever one. Story
Meet Hannah: The 65lb Diamond in the Fluff! 💎✨ Are you looking for a professional napper with a heart of gold? Hannah is an 11-year-young Border Collie mix who proves that age is just a number and "curvy" is a lifestyle! Currently weighing in at 65 lbs, Hannah is on a dedicated fitness journey (aren’t we all?) to get back to her svelte self. But don’t let the diet fool you—she’s got plenty of "spunk" left in her step! Why Hannah is the ultimate roommate: Expert Snoozer: Her favorite hobby is sleeping upside down on the couch. High-level gymnastics? No, just Hannah at nap time. 🤸‍♀️💤 Social Butterfly: She absolutely adores people and gets along famously with other dogs. Cuddle Bug: She’s a world-class snuggler and currently spends her nights tucked up with her canine foster siblings. 🐕❤️ Hannah found herself looking for a new chapter after her previous owner moved into assisted living. She’s handled the transition with total grace and is ready to bring her soulful eyes and goofy upside-down smiles to a forever home. If you have a couch, a heart for seniors, and a commitment to her "less kibble, more cuddles" plan, Hannah is waiting for you! Story
Age: ~2 years oldBreed: Border Collie MixSex: MaleWeight: 60 lbs Energy Level: Moderate Meet Murphy!Murphy is a stunning black-and-white Border Collie mix with beautiful ticking and an even more beautiful heart. This sweet boy hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but despite everything, he continues to love people and looks forward to finding a forever family of his own.Murphy first found himself in a county shelter, where he was adopted just one week later by an older couple living in an apartment. Unfortunately, Murphy was simply too strong and energetic for their lifestyle, and after six months he was returned to the shelter — only to end up on the euthanasia list.Thankfully, Murphy was given a second chance, and now he’s ready for the life he truly deserves.Murphy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and genuinely enjoys their company. He especially loves having a canine buddy to play with, whether male or female. A home with another playful dog would be ideal for him.He is both crate trained and house trained, and one of his absolute favorite things is going for car rides. Murphy also loves to run around the backyard and roll in the grass — pure joy for this boy! Because he enjoys outdoor play so much, a physically fenced yard would be best for him. His future family should be committed to positive, force-free training methods only, so no electric fences, e-collars, prong collars, or similar training tools.Murphy enjoys walks, although he can pull at times. His foster family has been working with him, and he’s making progress, but his forever family will need to continue using positive reinforcement training. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already knows basic commands along with a few fun tricks. Murphy catches on quickly and responds very well to guidance. A formal training class would be a wonderful way to continue building his confidence and strengthen the bond with his forever family.Because of his strength and enthusiasm, Murphy would do best in a home with children over the age of 10.One thing Murphy is still discovering is how to simply be a dog. He hasn’t quite figured out fetch yet — almost as if he never had the opportunity to learn in his previous homes. Watching him experience new things and learn how to play has been incredibly rewarding.Murphy is ready for a family that will be patient, active, and committed to giving him the love, structure, and companionship he’s always deserved. In return, he’ll give endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of happy car ride adventures.Murphy is neutered, current on vaccinations, HW negative and microchipped.Location: Northeast OhioContact: tlb145@aim.comPlease visit our webpage to see Murphy and his friendshttps://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs
