Story
THIS GUY! Wow! He has come a LONG away since he's been in our care. He was scheduled for euthanasia simply because they were out of room. He and his brother Happy. So a Good Samaritan pulled them both and spared them from certain death. They have been amazing, becoming very social because they have been attending doggy daycare everyday and receiving hands in one on one professional training! Captain is approx 7-8 months old. He's shy at first around new things but warms up quickly. He is kennel trained and house trained and it goes without saying he's dog friendly since he attends doggy daycare! He's super easy to get along with just needs a patient family because he is a bit shy at first around new things. He's with Kip and Michele in their home in Memphis, Tn. Once an application has been submitted and approved Kip, who has been working with Captain one on one for several months, will speak to you and tell you all about him. Transport cost is an additional $185. If you would like to make Captain a part of your family Please follow the link below to our adoption application . https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
STOP! The cuteness is unfathomable! Imagine a pint sized nugget that gives a little grunt when you go in for a squeeze/hug. Taffy and Tilly are loving life right now not much to do other than eat, play, sleep, repeat. They frolic until pooped then snuggle down for a nice long nap. They both have the sweetest dispositions. They are in a foster home in Memphis , Tn with other foster doggies and lots of comings and goings so very well adjusted to noises like vacuum cleaners, barking dogs, washing machines and general daily chaos . Once adopted, they will travel to the northeast via Rescue Vet Transport. (additional cost of $185). They leave Memphis, Tennessee each weekend, Friday mornings, usually around 6 AM and make transport stops along the route all the way up to West Greenwich, Rhode Island. If you would like to make one of these cuties a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. As always, thank you for choosing to adopt! You will find that our team of volunteers are very responsive so be prepared to adopt before submitting your application. We spend countless hours reviewing applications and calling vets so we want by I make sure you're prepared to adopt before we invest this time! https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online¬†Adoption Application ‚Äļ Introducing Axton! This sweet boy was¬†one of the brightest kids in¬†The DASH Prison Training Program where he brushed up on his house manners before he went to his current foster home. His foster mom said he's such a cuddle bug!¬†In the program, he did well learning to walk on a leash and did not¬†complain about being¬†in his crate but would much rather be out snuggling with his people. He worked on "sit, down, stay, wait,¬†& leave it." (Of course, continued work on these commands will keep him perfect)!¬† His handler said¬†he is very intelligent, attentive, affectionate, and has become comfortable enough to snore in his sleep.¬†Axton is a social¬†boy, who seems to love¬†all people, as well as¬†other dogs! Axton also likes his toys and playing in water.¬†He is energetic at play time but also loves when it's time to chill out. Axton did so well and¬†consistent with¬†practicing his basic commands, he moved on to tricks - He was learning¬†to speak!¬†He is ready for his new family. He's got his tuxedo on ready for his big day when he gets adopted.¬†Let's not disappoint this good boy. ¬†* Note: Axton is part¬†of our Foster to Adopt program. Apply now if you are interested in testing how he would acclimate in your home* ¬†Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 17, 2024, 2:32 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online¬†Adoption Application ‚Äļ Zora has been waiting patiently for her forever home.¬† She has worked hard to learn basic commands, potty train and get ready to meet her person/s.¬† However, that day has not come.¬† This sweet baby is an active and intelligent girl, making her an ideal companion for active families. She's great with kids and gets along well with most dogs, but can be a little protective of her food and toys.¬† She loves to snuggle on the furniture, is eager to please and is a good-hearted girl. She is currently in the DASH Prison Training program and has learned basic commands like sit, stay, heel, down, free, wait and leave.¬†Her trainer¬†describes her as affectionate,¬†loyal and¬†loves to take walks and long naps on the bed. "By far, she is my favorite dog to go through the training program".¬†She is usually very quiet an loves to go for walks.¬† However she can be suspicious of new places and loud noises.¬†¬†¬†Zora doesn't know a stranger¬†and is very social.¬† She has been known to bark at strangers, when she is playing and¬†in her crate because she desperately wants to be with her people. If you're considering adopting Zora, be prepared for a long-term commitment and plenty of love and adventures. Let's make Zora's dream of a loving, forever home come true! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online¬†Adoption Application ‚Äļ Meet our girl,¬†Luna. She¬†is a border collie mix who has been waiting quite some time for a family she can call hers. ¬† This sweet girl came to DASH fearful and shy with little confidence.¬† She is making great strides in the DASH Prison Training Program. Her handler says " She can take a bit to warm up to you but once she does, it is worth the wait.¬† She has gained a ton of confidence and trust over the past 7 months. She is hassle free and will be the best dog you ever had. It's hard not to love her".¬† She will do best with a family who responds in a calm, relaxed approach with a¬†confident pack leader.¬†¬†Luna can be protective of her toys and food.¬† She is not fond of puppies.¬†¬†Because she is a border collie mix, she is highly intelligent, and for the most part not too energetic, but¬†an active family is best for this girl.¬† She is affectionate, loving & loyal.¬† Her foster said she is the biggest snuggle bug & loves to be right next to her people although she is selective!! Luna is the perfect girl when given the time¬†to settle in!! She's a great dog who just needs a chance with a family that has time for her. She will need time to decompress, with love & patience to show her she is safe & part of the family. Luna is not cat-friendly but is sociable with other K9's.¬† She has not been "kid tested" so proper meet & greets are always in order. We are excited and anticipate Luna finding her perfect home. Rescue Luna and she'll rescue you. Apply today!¬† ¬† If you're interested in adopting, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an application on our website, www.dashanimalrescue.org¬† ¬†Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 17, 2024, 2:32 pm
