Story
Melody PondFemaleD.O.B. 9/16/2025Expected Full Grown Weight: 35-40 lbsBreed: Border Collie mix Hi there! I’m Melody Pond, but my foster dad calls me DeeDee — and I think it fits my bubbly, adventurous personality perfectly! I get along with other dogs and kids and even cats. I’m a spirited little pup who loves exploring, climbing, and finding new ways to make my humans laugh. I’m brave, lively, and always on the move… some even call me a tiny mountain goat because I’ll climb right up your arm and perch on your shoulder if you let me! When I want cuddles, I don’t waste time — I’ll sprint right toward you and launch myself at your legs as if I can leap straight into your arms. I love being held (especially if you rub my belly!) but if I get bored, I’m ready to wiggle free and go explore again. My foster dad says you can see the gears turning in my head — I’m a smart cookie who loves to figure things out. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning the ropes — I’m crate trained, working on potty training, and need to be crated when you’re not home so I don’t get into mischief. My favorite things? Peanut butter, my light blue teething bone, my stuffed Snoopy toy, and anything I can play tug-of-war with my sister! I’m playful, affectionate, and brave, and I can’t wait to find a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them. If you’re looking for a smart, sassy, loving little explorer with a huge heart — I might just be your girl. Oh, and I will need to be spayed when I am old enough. If you are interested in meeting little Melody Pond (Dee Dee), apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $395. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2554285##

Story
If you're looking for a smart, energetic, and loyal companion, Callie may just be your perfect match! Callie is around 3 years old and 42 lb.  Callie is the type of dog who loves to be surrounded by her people. Whether it's lounging on the couch after a fun play session or keeping a close eye on the backyard (because, you know, squirrels must be chased), she’s content as long as she’s by your side. She’s also a fan of training, especially when there’s a treat involved! She has been working hard at learning to train with a clicker and has already shown us that she’s a smart cookie who catches on quickly. She would love a family who enjoys teaching her new tricks and can continue her training.  Callie is a social butterfly – with just a few boundaries! She gets along well with dogs but is a bit selective, and is good with cats. She really enjoys going to doggy daycare at Camp Bow Wow, but she’d do best in a home where she is an only dog, or a home where introductions to new dog friends are slow and steady. Because she's still young and energetic, we think she'd do best in a home with an active person or older kids who can match her playfulness and help her continue learning her manners.   Callie is a playful, active girl who would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard. She loves running, chewing on a bone and licking up some peanut butter, but most of all, she’d love to be part of your family!     The Details:   House-trained: Yes!  Crate-trained: Absolutely.  Sleep habits: Callie sleeps through the night in her crate like a champ.  Likes: Training, chewing on toys, snuggling, fetching her favorite orange ball, and close cuddles  Dislikes: sharing toys with other doggy friends Callie's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Callie, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. Story
🌸 Meet Diana Ross — The Soulful Aussie Mix Every diva has a story, and Diana Ross is ready to start her comeback tour. 💫 This beautiful senior Aussie mix hasn’t had the easiest life — her previous home didn’t give her the love or care she deserved. But despite everything, Diana’s gentle spirit still shines through. She’s learning that people can be kind, that a soft bed feels good, and that there’s always time for second chances. Diana is quiet, graceful, and a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, her tender heart begins to open. She finds comfort in the company of other dogs, and a calm, confident canine friend will help her continue to blossom. Watching her discover joy again is nothing short of magical. This sweet lady is ready to finally experience what a real home feels like — one filled with patience, safety, and love. Diana Ross may be a senior, but she’s got plenty of songs left in her heart and would love to spend her encore surrounded by kindness. ❤️🐾

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Axton! This sweet boy was one of the brightest kids in The DASH Prison Training Program where he brushed up on his house manners before he went to his current foster home. His foster mom said he's such a cuddle bug! In the program, he did well learning to walk on a leash and did not complain about being in his crate but would much rather be out snuggling with his people. He worked on "sit, down, stay, wait, & leave it." (Of course, continued work on these commands will keep him perfect)!  His handler said he is very intelligent, attentive, affectionate, and has become comfortable enough to snore in his sleep. Axton is a social boy, who seems to love all people, as well as other dogs! Axton also likes his toys and playing in water. He is energetic at play time but also loves when it's time to chill out. Axton did so well and consistent with practicing his basic commands, he moved on to tricks - He was learning to speak! He is ready for his new family. He's got his tuxedo on ready for his big day when he gets adopted. Let's not disappoint this good boy.  * Note: Axton is part of our Foster to Adopt program. Story
Murphy came in with his brother Mack. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Murphy started out more independent than his brother and still probably is a bit, but he also seeks out attention from time to time and can be very affectionate. Murphy looks more like pure Aussie than his brother, but he may still be mixed. We'd love Murphy and Mack to be adopted together. They are bonded and thrive in each other's company and the company of other dogs. A physically fenced yard is required. Murphy is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio. Story
Mack came in with his brother Murphy. Both are sweet, loving, mid- to high-energy boys. Mack has been just about the sweetest boy ever from moment one—extremely affectionate and just loves giving you big Mack hugs. He loves when you let him be a Velcro dog, but don’t get the wrong idea—when you need your own space, he is very good about not being pushy about it. Mack’s brother Murphy looks more like pure Aussie, but we’re pretty sure that’s Mack’s mix as well. We'd love Mack and Murphy to be adopted together. Story
We really outdid ourselves with originality in naming Cattle Dog, or “Cattle D” for not much shorter. Cattle Dog has all the energy and big personality you would expect from a Cattle Dog—he will patrol your yard to protect it from both squirrels and ghosts, but when not under attack from these nefarious villains, he loves to play with his friends and loves giving kisses and hugs and getting attention from his people. He’s a fantastic dog and just the best boy. A physically fenced yard is required. Cattle Dog is available for adoption in Ohio to residents of Ohio.
