Story
Ezra is a border collie/Austalian Shephard mix. Adult 7 years old and was a rescue from the humane society. He is a very sweet dog, we believe he may have been at an abusive home before we rescued him due to how anxious he acts. He needs and deserves a loving family who can give him attention, unfortunately with having two toddlers we are not able to give that to him. He is low energy, likes to cuddle on the couch or bed instead of playing with toys.

Story
Archie is a handsome, big boy. He loves to play, run, and be with his people. He likes to sleep on the couch and be with you while you are in the kitchen. Our favorite part about Archie is how excited he gets to see you. He has a lot of characteristic features, like sad eyes, a big scruff, and talking!. He also has quite a sense of humor for a dog! Archie has mastered the "sit" and "come here" commands and is learning more, like "shake" and "stay". He is able to quickly catch onto new things. We are working on his training, as he still has puppy tendencies. At this point, he is not cat friendly. The temptation to chase is too strong. Archie is the last from a litter of 8. He and another litter mate have a different coat type. He has a slick, shiny coat, more like a labrador, rather than a fluffy and soft one. Located in North Texas, Transport availbel and fee included

Story
If you're looking for a smart, energetic, and loyal companion, Callie may just be your perfect match! Callie is around 3 years old and 42 lb.  Callie is the type of dog who loves to be surrounded by her people. Whether it's lounging on the couch after a fun play session or keeping a close eye on the backyard (because, you know, squirrels must be chased), she’s content as long as she’s by your side. She’s also a fan of training, especially when there’s a treat involved! She has been working hard at learning to train with a clicker and has already shown us that she’s a smart cookie who catches on quickly. She would love a family who enjoys teaching her new tricks and can continue her training.  Callie is a social butterfly – with just a few boundaries! She gets along well with dogs but is a bit selective, and is good with cats. She really enjoys going to doggy daycare at Camp Bow Wow, but she’d do best in a home where she is an only dog, or a home where introductions to new dog friends are slow and steady. Because she's still young and energetic, we think she'd do best in a home with an active person or older kids who can match her playfulness and help her continue learning her manners.   Callie is a playful, active girl who would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard. She loves running, chewing on a bone and licking up some peanut butter, but most of all, she’d love to be part of your family!     The Details:   House-trained: Yes!  Crate-trained: Absolutely.  Sleep habits: Callie sleeps through the night in her crate like a champ.  Likes: Training, chewing on toys, snuggling, fetching her favorite orange ball, and close cuddles  Dislikes: sharing toys with other doggy friends Callie's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Callie, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. Story
Hi, my name is Shaggy! I came into the shelter in Dec 2025 with my brother Diesel. I am a very loving, sweet dog but I also have some energy and love to play. I like other dogs, too, and have lots of friends besides my brother. I am still learning how to walk on a leash, but I learn quickly and do better everyday.

Story
Looking for a little dog with big dog spunk? Kachina might be the girl for you! We are still getting to know her, but so far she seems to be a pretty typical Cattle Dog. She is active, and would love to find a family that doesn't mind her energy level. She does well with other dogs and likes to play, so she may appreciate another dog at home. She is vocal and has the cutest little bark! If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Kachina home. If you are interested in meeting Kachina, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
