What makes this dog special: He's super sweet, he will put his paws in your lap when you sit down, or even curl up in your lap. The way he prances around the yard is adorable, he's very quick but not so agile and trips himself up at times and slips in the grass.
Likes: He likes to be close, if you sit down he will get in your lap. He loves chew toys that don't make noise, antlers especially. He also really loves to be outside, he rolls in the grass and prances around. He loves his foster siblings, they just don't love him back the same way, he loves to be where the people or dogs are, he will follow you around the house and relax when you do. He likes to explore, inside or out, he will walk every corner until he has smelled everything.
Dislikes: He doesn't love his crate, he would rather be out on the floor or near you, but he's fine in it. He doesn't love sudden noises, or things he hasn't heard before like the big scary vacuum. He may shy away if he hears something he doesn't like, but once he's figured out it's not dangerous, he's fine.
Ideal Home/Adopter: He would enjoy having another dog to continue building his confidence but he would also be fine without one. Someone who understands that noises may startle him for a while, even squeaky toys, but that he's just learning to dog and he's already gotten much better since he's been in his foster home, he's already making great progress. Someone who will continue to work with his manners and training. He does love to play, so a home with another dog, one who wants to play and engage would be best, it helps get his energy out. He would prefer to be out of his crate so a home with a flexible schedule would be nice.
Additional Considerations: He's super sweet and still learning how to play with other dogs, but he's taking cues from my dogs really well so far. He's still just a puppy who will need guidance and training but he's a very sweet dog. He’s a little timid at first with people and new surroundings, but warms up quick. He may take some time to learn his new space, but one he does he’s on the move get along great.
