Story
Name: Linus Gender: Male Age: 2 years Current Weight: 34 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Border Collie Mix Energy Level: Medium Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog. Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: Yes Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence not required Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes What makes this dog special: He's super sweet, he will put his paws in your lap when you sit down, or even curl up in your lap. The way he prances around the yard is adorable, he's very quick but not so agile and trips himself up at times and slips in the grass. Likes: He likes to be close, if you sit down he will get in your lap. He loves chew toys that don't make noise, antlers especially. He also really loves to be outside, he rolls in the grass and prances around. He loves his foster siblings, they just don't love him back the same way, he loves to be where the people or dogs are, he will follow you around the house and relax when you do. He likes to explore, inside or out, he will walk every corner until he has smelled everything. Dislikes: He doesn't love his crate, he would rather be out on the floor or near you, but he's fine in it. He doesn't love sudden noises, or things he hasn't heard before like the big scary vacuum. He may shy away if he hears something he doesn't like, but once he's figured out it's not dangerous, he's fine. Ideal Home/Adopter: He would enjoy having another dog to continue building his confidence but he would also be fine without one. Someone who understands that noises may startle him for a while, even squeaky toys, but that he's just learning to dog and he's already gotten much better since he's been in his foster home, he's already making great progress. Someone who will continue to work with his manners and training. He does love to play, so a home with another dog, one who wants to play and engage would be best, it helps get his energy out. He would prefer to be out of his crate so a home with a flexible schedule would be nice. Additional Considerations: He's super sweet and still learning how to play with other dogs, but he's taking cues from my dogs really well so far. He's still just a puppy who will need guidance and training but he's a very sweet dog. He’s a little timid at first with people and new surroundings, but warms up quick. He may take some time to learn his new space, but one he does he’s on the move get along great. Linus' adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Linus, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1855648##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Kathy! This little ball of energy is another one of the 3 Hocus Pocus Sisters. She is also one of our newest (& youngest) entries in The DASH Prison Training Program where she will learn her puppy manners & skills to work her magic on you! She has only been there for a few days & will be learning things like down, stay, wait & leave it. Of course, continued training in her new home will be required to help her mind her manners. Her progress will be updated in the coming weeks. Her handler is just getting to know her but we will know soon what this smart, goofy little girl is capable of. She has lots of energy, is very affectionate, loves other dogs, her toys & everyone she meets! She seems to be housebroken already & will keep working on it in her new environment. Kathy will walk on a leash & doesn't seem to complain in her crate (although she would be much rather be snuggling with her person). She has not been cat or kid tested yet, so a meet & greet is recommended, keeping in mind that young, high-energy pups might be a little much for toddlers.  In a few weeks she will be ready to cast her spell on her fur-ever family! She is sure to mix up a little love potion & steal your heart when you meet her!  If you're interested in adopting, the first step in our adoption process is to submit an application on our website, www.dashanimalrescue.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2023, 10:59 am
