I love being held (especially if you rub my belly!) but if I get bored, I’m ready to wiggle free and go explore again. My foster dad says you can see the gears turning in my head — I’m a smart cookie who loves to figure things out. I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning the ropes — I’m crate trained, working on potty training, and need to be crated when you’re not home so I don’t get into mischief. My favorite things? Peanut butter, my light blue teething bone, my stuffed Snoopy toy, and anything I can play tug-of-war with my sister! Callie is the type of dog who loves to be surrounded by her people. Introducing our latest foster baby, KEVIN! Yes, I had Home Alone on while decorating my house for Christmas when I found out he was coming to us. I couldnt pass up the opportunity. Im no expert but Im guesstimating he is about 4 months old and an interesting mix breed that keeps me guessing. His face is Border Collie but his body and gait scream something like a Springer Spaniel or Pointer to me. So Im going with Border Collie/Spaniel mix for now.What I do know for a fact is that hes just the sweetest, smartest and SOFTEST baby ever!He appears to already be housebroken. He already comes to Kevin. Knows sit, stay and down. Sleeps in his crate at night like a champ and is amazing with our dogs and cats. I like to follow around my foster mom and sit right next to her, as close as I possibly can and I’m also easily redirected to my bed when she needs some space. I bark at the people and dogs walking by the house but I am very friendly when I meet them on walks and at the dog park. I like playing with all kinds of toys and bones, eating yummy snacks, going for walks and taking a nap. I also love a good game of fetch including bringing the ball right back to you and dropping it at your feet. Before coming to SPEAK I was a stray and needed surgery on my hip after being hit by a car. I am much happier now that I have healed can run around. I will need some hikes and runs at the park to continue to progress and build muscle in my back leg and some patience to work on my confidence. I promise it will be worth it!
