Meet Bairn, an energetic and enthusiastic dog in search of an active, confident owner. Bairn has a zest for life and loves to stay busy, whether it’s going for runs, long walks, swimming, or cuddling with his favorite people. He thrives on learning new things and is a quick learner—definitely a smart cookie! Bairn is reactive to new people, other dogs, and some vehicles, so he will need to be walked with a muzzle as a precaution. However, his reactivity can be managed with consistent training, energy-draining activities, keeping a safe distance from triggers, and positive reinforcement for good behavior. When his mind is engaged and his energy is properly channeled, Bairn is much more balanced and in control. This wonderful boy will need a dedicated owner who is committed to continuing his training and giving him the structure he needs. While Bairn may not be immediately friendly with new people, he just needs time and slow, controlled introductions to build trust. Once he bonds with you, he’ll show you his goofy, lovable side. Bairn is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard, where he can thrive in a calm and structured environment. He would do best in a home without small children or other dogs. George is a two-year-old male, roughly 45 pounds. He is a cross of some kind, perhaps between a border collie and some sort of hound? He is dignified, polite, intelligent, good-natured, loves to run and play and have his belly rubbed: he shows affection quietly, by coming and placing his head against you. He is neutered, microchipped and house-trained. He is very good with people, and generally with other dogs, at least off-leash. He can panic, however, on-leash, if he gets in close quarters with another dog. We think he must have broken his left hind foot at some point in the past: it has healed, and he can run very fast on it, but occasionally favours it, and has begun to develop arthritis. He currently lives with 2 dogs listed on our site: Pipo and Karti. George and Pipo are especially good together.  George's ideal home would be one with people who are calm and are experienced with large dogs. One where he's allowed on the couch and bed. Ozzy| Male | 64lbs | 9 years old | Dog-friendly | GTA Ozzy is the most beautiful senior boy with his dramatic black coat and perfect ears. Do not let his dignified handsomeness deceive you: this boy is down to clown! You might find him rolling on the grass, catching balls (giving them back not so much), or claiming a spot on the couch for movie night. Ozzy is an absolute love. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling and would make an ideal walking buddy. He likes treats and accepts them oh so gently. He is very smart and learning the ropes at his foster home with good-natured ease: he responds well to guidance and is working on various skills to be the best boy he can be! He's very friendly and affectionate with everyone he meets, and does well with children. He has experience living peaceably alongside both dogs and cats, although a dog sibling would probably suit him better than a cat sibling (he can get a little bit too focused on the cat). Senior dogs make amazing companions for all kinds of adopters from busy families to active seniors. Meet Dalgom – A Sweet & Social 3-Month-Old Puppy!   Name: Dalgom Age: 3 months Sex: Male Neutered: No – too young Breed: Jindo / Border Collie Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 6.4 kg (14 lbs) Height: 35 cm (13.8 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story Dalgom was found all alone in a cage near a rural reservoir, left outside under the scorching sun. Thankfully, someone spotted him and reached out for help, allowing this little puppy to be rescued and given a chance at a safe and happy life.   ‍‍ Personality & People Dalgom is an incredibly friendly and affectionate puppy who loves people! He happily approaches both familiar faces and complete strangers, rubbing against them for attention and allowing himself to be petted right away.   He is comfortable with both men and women and can easily be picked up and held. He’s so trusting that he’ll even show his belly to someone he has just met.   With Other Dogs Dalgom is just as social with dogs as he is with people. He readily approaches unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play, and he gets along well with dogs both bigger and smaller than himself.   He enjoys playing with energetic dogs and generally avoids conflict if another dog tries to provoke him. He’s a happy, playful little guy who loves having canine friends.   With Cats Dalgom has not yet been observed around cats, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level Dalgom has a moderate puppy energy level. He enjoys being active and playing, but once he’s had his fun, he settles down nicely and rests. Like most puppies his age, he also sleeps quite a bit.   Walks Dalgom has not started regular walks yet, as he is still completing his puppy vaccinations and has currently received his second round.   Food & Other Behaviours Dalgom does not generally guard food from people or other dogs. He can usually eat peacefully around other dogs, although occasional puppy disagreements over food bowls can happen. He does not initiate conflict, but may respond if another dog challenges him.   He currently whines quite a bit when placed in a crate, so he is being introduced to crate training gradually and positively.   House Training Dalgom currently uses indoor pee pads and is also able to eliminate outdoors. As he is only 3 months old, his house-training skills are still developing.   Ideal Home Dalgom is a young puppy with a wonderfully social, affectionate nature and lots of growing and learning ahead of him. I arrived at a crowded city pound severely injured and, although I received some initial treatment, the shelter’s limited resources meant I wasn’t able to receive all the care I needed. I was eventually adopted, but sadly, my new beginning didn’t last. About a week later, I was shaved and abandoned back at the city pound once again. By then, my health was deteriorating, and there was concern that my injuries could permanently affect the use of my back legs. Thankfully, rescuers heard about my situation and stepped in before it was too late. Welcome Dog Korea brought me to safety, and I’m now receiving the medical care, love, and attention I needed all along. After such a difficult start to life, I finally have the chance to heal and look forward to a much brighter future.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues Underwent joint fusion surgery on the left hind leg & part of my right hind leg had to be amputated. I don’t let this stop me from living my life! I run around and have no issues living my life to the fullest   MY PERSONALITY I’m an adorable, friendly girl who loves both people and dogs! Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m still incredibly trusting and haven’t let my past or my hind legs stop me from enjoying life to the fullest. I can be a little more comfortable with women than men at first, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up and show my sweet, affectionate personality. I also have a great appetite and am very food-motivated, which makes me eager to learn and excited to work for tasty treats!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m friendly with people and enjoy greeting new friends and receiving plenty of pets and affection! I generally get along best with dogs around my size or smaller. Very high-energy dogs can be a little overwhelming for me and I may need some time to feel comfortable around them. Due to my hind legs, I can also get pushed around more easily during rough or energetic play, so calmer and respectful playmates are the best match for me. I’m a peacekeeper at heart and prefer to avoid conflict whenever possible. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. During walks I look at them with curiosity but then lose my interest and continue my way.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead well. I’ve had lots of opportunities to practice my walking skills while growing up at the care facility, so I’ve become a great little walking companion! I also have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals or treats from either people or other dogs. I may bark when I’m looking for attention, but I know how to settle down and rest calmly in my kennel. For potty habits, I currently go both indoors using pee pads and outdoors. I also rely quite a bit on my dog friends for emotional comfort and reassurance.
