"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Story
Meet Wiley! Wiley is an approximately 1.5 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) with a happy personality and a very smart mind. He is an active boy who is always ready for his next adventure and would thrive with a family that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. Wiley is high energy and will need a breed knowledgeable owner committed to continuing his training and providing both mental and physical stimulation. He is eager to learn and already does pretty well on a leash. With consistency and structure, Wiley has the potential to become an incredible companion. He would do best with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor activities, training, and keeping their dogs engaged. Wiley is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in life right alongside his people. Wiley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

Story
Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Frederick. I'm about 2 1/2 years old and I weigh about 45 lbs. I was found running around in Leetonia by the police department and I was brought into the pound. Despite me dragging around my cable, wearing a clean collar, being well groomed and obviously having been someone's well cared for dog, my family was not located and nobody came forward for me. I am a bit aloof with strangers, but once I get to warm up and get to know you, I am a very sweet and well mannered boy. I know basic commands and listen fairly well. I am very clean in my kennel and I appear to be potty trained. I have done well with the other dogs I've met here at the pound. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
I adopted Leia from someone in Harrisburg. She did come from two farm dogs. She's extremely playful, energetic, and cuddly. She definitely needs someone who can give her the attention that she so desires. Back when I had more time, I'd take her and my shepherd to hike in the woods and I do trust her off leash out there. She does chase deer and squirrels, but always comes back and has never caught up to them. Aside from the time constraints, the other reason I'm hoping to re home her is because she gets car sick. So, I'm hoping that she can go somewhere with a large property. I think she'd do fantastic somewhere either with a large fenced in yard or just no close by neighbors. As far as cats go, she seems terrified. I figured that was a farm cat thing from when she was a pup, because I have no cats, myself. Ask any questions you like! I want Leia to get the best life possible.

Story
Cuteness Alert.    Hi! My name is Chester. Like the infamous singer, or famous cheetah, I am a character that is bound to capture your heart.    I am a 12 week old border collie/terrier mix weighing around 24lbs. I am an active little boy, that loves adventures, looking for a person or family with patience to match my vibes , and call my own.    I can be shy at first, but quickly warms up. I love the outdoors, and I love big dogs.  Because I am a puppy still learning manners, my foster mommy thinks I’d do best in a home (if kids are present), to be ages 5 and up to help train me.    I am working hard at potty training, and learning how to be the proper gentleman.  I have a precious howl that can serenade you , and my ears give me character. How can you let my cuteness pass you by? Let’s meetup before we have a missed connection ##2792559##
