Story
When I found bean she was rescued from a lady who found her liter on the side of the freeway they had been thrown out of a car window. I’ve had her for 2 years now and she’s an all around good dog. She’s sweet, caring, and has a great personality. She’s good with other dogs but she’s very shy. She’s always been shy around new people due to I assumed getting abused before I got her. She’s a really good job and I work a lot and am never home. I’m also about to move into an apartment and she deserves a backyard to run around in and play.

Story
Champ is a fun loving dog with a personality as big as his ears—seriously, they could be goal posts for a football team! He loves chasing toys and, in true Champ fashion, will toss them in the air with pure joy. His playful nature shines when he’s with other dogs, always eager for fun. But he also has an affectionate side; and when you want to chill he’ll happily settle by your feet, content to chew on his favorite toy while staying close. Champ’s playful nature and loving heart make him a perfect friend to have by your side.   To learn more or to meet Champ call 281-339-2086 any day except Wednesday between 11AM and 5PM or you can fill in an app at https://bayareapetadoptions.org/adoption-application/ ##2196523##

Story
Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. But outside the kennel, Montana’s true personality shines—sweet, playful, and full of love. Montana will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her time to decompress and build trus ##2599337##

Story
We took Brigid in at approx 8 weeks, she was a stray who showed up at work. She’s a little over a year old and is spayed. She is a very good girl, listens well, wants to please us the way a working dog does, is extremely loving and playful. She currently lives among 3 older dogs. She has shown some need for redirection with our male, she tries very much to be the alpha and will nip at him when let outside if not controlled, she’s pretty relentless.Life has changed a lot for us, we’re in a new home, construction has been going on while we’ve been living here, and she’s in the kennel a lot and not getting what she needs, it’s caused a lot of stress for her and we’re about to begin multigenerational living with my mother, daughter and a cat. It’s a very high stress environment now for a high energy dog like Brigid. This is just no longer a good home for Brigid, she needs more than we can give her and we would like to help get her to someone who can help her live her best life.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. She is Xena The Warrior PrincessXena was born approximately July 15, 2021.  She is a GORGEOUS Border Collie/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix or Tri-Colored Rhodesian Ridgeback.  Her personality is true to her breed! Xena's foster mom and dad have 3 other dogs that she likes to play with and share toys with, but she has also learned to be by herself.  Her foster mom says she needs an active family with another dog or multiple dogs. Xena needs room to run to get her energy out.  She likes going for long walks and exploring the wilderness. Xena sleeps with her foster mom and dad in bed with all the other dogs. It gets a bit crowded but she does love sleeping with the pack. This makes her feel safe. Xena does not like to be in a kennel or crate.  So, a family that is at home would be ideal. She likes eating ice cubes!  Xena says 'When mom gives me fresh water in a bowl she puts in extra ice cubes for me. That makes me feel special and loved.'  Xena loves riding in a vehicle and knows not to jump around and act like a baby. She can walk on a leash pretty well as long as she has her harness on; Xena is not a fan of collars. She also knows a few commands like “stay”, “no” and “potty”.Xena will bark at strangers until she gets to know them.  Her foster dad has taught her to fetch.  She loves chasing the ball and bringing it back, it’s the letting it go part that she has a hard time with BECAUSE she also loves to play tug of war.  Xena is also a fan of the Laser Light.  She thinks they are fascinating!Xena is Special Needs because if and when she gets too excited she has seizures.  The vet attributes this to a blow to the head as a puppy.  Therefore, she needs to be in a home that understands how to deal with occasional seizures.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2026, 7:32 pm
