Story
If you would like more information about Parker or are interested in fostering or adopting him, please send an email to wendy.s.howard@gmail.com or contact this number, 713-494-7749 Parker is a 3 year old Border Collie-Pit mix who was found abandoned at a park. He has been vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is a sweet-natured boy in good health. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and extremely smart. He is incredibly devoted to the humans who care for him, and is looking for his forever best friend. He loves to play with toys and cuddle. While he is currently being fostered in a home with a cat and a small dog, he is kept somewhat separate from them. He does not seem to care if another dog is around, but due to his high-energy nature (and complete lack of need for personal space), he will be best placed in a home as an “only child” with a yard to roam. Adopt Parker, and he will be your biggest fan and most loyal protector. Story
Hello, future family! I'm Daisy Mae, a large and lovable black dog with a heart as vast as my midnight-hued coat. I've been patiently waiting for 507 days to find my forever home, and I believe this Christmas could be the one where I finally get to spend my days surrounded by love and warmth. About Me:I'm a gentle giant, known for my soulful eyes and an unwavering spirit. Typical to my shepherd lineage I can be wary of strangers, but, once I know, you are my person I love with my whole being. Despite my 507 days spent at the shelter, I've never lost hope that the right family will come along and see the joy I can bring to their lives. I'm well-behaved, house-trained, and ready to share my love with someone special. My Christmas Wish List:To make my time at the shelter brighter, I've curated an Amazon wish list filled with items that would add a touch of festive cheer to my days. If you're feeling extra generous this holiday season, consider checking out my list and making my Christmas dreams come true. It's not just about the gifts; it's about the love and thoughtfulness behind them. https://a.co/fH47PqL How You Can Help:If you're not in a position to adopt right now, you can still be a part of my journey by contributing to my Amazon wish list or sharing my story. Your kindness could make this Christmas one to remember.  Adoption Details:Ready to make my dreams come true? Just fill out the no obligation, application to schedule a meet-and-greet.  ##1560455##

Story
Mikka is a 40 lbs, Border Collie mix. She is a special girl that unfortunately missed out on positive socialization as a young puppy, but she is trying hard to make up for lost time. Mikka loves life, but is still uncertain about a lot of things so she needs people that will help her learn and feel secure in the world. She enjoys meeting new people, going on car rides, and loves spending time outdoors. She is young with a lot of energy and needs positive training. Mikka is very smart and catches on to new things quickly. She knows sit and down, but we’re still working on stay and her leash walking is coming along really well. She does well with other dogs that can handle her energy, but does require slow introductions, she would love to have a playmate. She needs an active family that will keep both her mind and body stimulated. She is slowly learning to be a great cuddler. Mikka is a very sweet girl and would be a great companion, she will love you with all her heart. She has a lot of herding instincts and would be great for working/sports/competition. She is also very fast. To adopt Mikka, please apply at www.htxdogrescue.org.

BILINGUAL POOCH  Estimated DOB 10/29/19, weight 55 pounds Hello!  My name is Lucas, and I was abandoned at a vet clinic where I was tied to the front door.  Fortunately, the clinic found a client who agreed to take me in and foster me. The vet helped get me hooked up with an adoption program, so here I am, a HOPE dog now! I love playing with balls and squeaky toys, going running with my foster mom’s neighbor, and sunning in the backyard in nice weather. I like to play with other dogs, but I like to wrestle. It looks/ sounds rough, so I may be better as the only-pet child. I'm a smart boy who already knows "sit." I'm crate trained, bilingual, and ready to snuggle with you! Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID: D23-0211-0010 If you are interested in Lucas and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you.  April 18, 2024, 1:55 pm

Story
GIVES 200% IN ALL ENDEAVORS  DOB 11/1/18, weight 40 pounds Arf! Arf, everyone! I’m Gordo, a sweet, gentle, even-tempered yellow Cattle Dog mix. My hooman mom describes me as “a lover and friend.” Need I say more about my compatibility with hoomans – both adults and kids? She also christened me as a “true baller” because I absolutely live to play fetch. In fact, I’m so smart that she thinks I’d do great in agility dog sports. I give 200% in all my endeavors, including protecting my foster home. I get along great with the cats and other dogs in my foster home because I tend to submit to the stronger pet personalities. That said, I’m here because the dogs in my original home didn’t accept me as the “newbie” of the pack. In fact, I was under threat of being attacked so I was dumped outside until I was finally rescued to the safety of my foster home. I do fit in great here, but unfortunately my hooman mom is under the threat of eviction and wisely is trying to find me the perfect forever home that I deserve. Do you have room in your heart and hearth for a handsome, sweet-faced, adaptable fella who will love your 200%? Then arrange to meet me! Incidentally there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me. I have perfect house habits and won’t chew or destroy your stuff. HOPE ID D23-1007-0033 If you are interested in Gordo and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php .
