She is a GORGEOUS Border Collie/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix or Tri-Colored Rhodesian Ridgeback. Her personality is true to her breed! Xena's foster mom and dad have 3 other dogs that she likes to play with and share toys with, but she has also learned to be by herself. Her foster mom says she needs an active family with another dog or multiple dogs. Xena needs room to run to get her energy out. She likes going for long walks and exploring the wilderness. Xena sleeps with her foster mom and dad in bed with all the other dogs. It gets a bit crowded but she does love sleeping with the pack. This makes her feel safe. Xena does not like to be in a kennel or crate. So, a family that is at home would be ideal.She likes eating ice cubes! Xena says 'When mom gives me fresh water in a bowl she puts in extra ice cubes for me. That makes me feel special and loved.' Xena loves riding in a vehicle and knows not to jump around and act like a baby.She can walk on a leash pretty well as long as she has her harness on; Xena is not a fan of collars. She also knows a few commands like “stay”, “no” and “potty”.Xena will bark at strangers until she gets to know them. Her foster dad has taught her to fetch. She loves chasing the ball and bringing it back, it’s the letting it go part that she has a hard time with BECAUSE she also loves to play tug of war. Xena is also a fan of the Laser Light. Gypsy and her sister Stormi were dumped with their mom in a hay field with no food, water or shelter. We estimate gypsy's birth date to be April 1st. 2026 and think she is a mix of Shepherd, boxer, cattle dog maybe. Estimated adult weight is 45 lb. She is very good about using puppy pads. Outdoor potty training is in the works. She plays well with her sister and with the small adult dogs in her Foster house. She is also been exposed extensively to cats and shows them the proper respect so far. She loves to play with toys, collects them in her bed, and chews on chewies. Chewies, lots of them. At night she has free rein of the kitchen and the breakfast room and after a little bit of complaining puts yourself to bed. Foster Mom leaves a small light on in the kitchen so she could see if she needs to find the puppy pads at night. She was shy when first rescued but has warmed up to her Foster family quite well. Right now. She's mostly interested in being a puppy, which means running around, playing with the other animals, carrying toys around the house, chewing on things and barking if her sister has the toy she wants. Right now her baby teeth are very sharp and she thinks hands are like toys, there to chew on so older, considerate children who know how to handle puppy antics would be more appropriate. The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, she will be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud. Harlo is a 3 year old, 20 lb mini Australian shepherd mix with the heart of a herding dog. He loves his people, running in the yard and playing with his squeaky toys. He will want to be your best friend and likes cuddling on the bed. Harlo is an energetic dog and, like most herding dogs, will need an outlet for his energy and focus. Harlo is crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves affection from his family. He gets along well and plays with the dogs in his foster home but he doesn't like all dogs. Harlo currently struggles with anxiety and socialization issues and is often nervous and reactive around new people and in new places. He will need an experienced dog owner that is willing to invest the time and energy into helping him adjust into a new home and would benefit from training to help him overcome his anxiety and build confidence.
