Story
Maple came to us from an old coworker off KSL. She's a little over one years old, her birthday is June 1st! She can be a little nervous at first but if she has her buddy Kip by her side she's fearless. Maple loves to run and play and gets along well with other dogs, cats and even kids, but she also loves to curl up in her kennel and take a good nap. She is both house and kennel trained. I'm hoping to find her and Kip a home where they have plenty of space to play with them and take them on adventures. Maple and Kip are a bonded pair and we would like to keep them together if possible. Adoption fee is for both of them and includes their kennels, bowls, leashes and collars and toys.

Story
**I'm part of the Fall In Love Adoption Event. My adoption fee is half off!** Phantom wants to be loved for himself. He is a bashful pup who is ready to meet his best friend. He is house trained and has a good grasp on basic commands. He would do better in a quiet home with no children or older children. He gets along with other dogs and with proper introduction would do alright with cats. "We went on a quick walk around my block. Phantom did good. We went back to my house and he was able to relax and took a nap on my couch! He is a super sweet and gentle guy." - A Daytrip Volunteer. Story
Meet Chai! ☕ This adorable 7–9-month-old, 40-pound Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer mix is equal parts goofy, energetic, and professional belly-rub enthusiast.Chai can be a little shy with new people and needs time and patience to feel comfortable, but once she trusts you, her sweet personality comes shining through. She loves toys, chewing, tug-of-war, and hanging out on the couch—especially if belly rubs are involved. She’s also very treat-motivated and knows “sit,” making her a fun pup to train.Chai is house- and crate-trained, rides well in the car, and generally has good manners, although she may occasionally counter-surf or steal a piece of dirty laundry. She’s still working on her leash skills and is currently pretty nervous about leashes, so her adopter will need to patiently help her build confidence. She gets along great with other dogs and would love a confident, playful canine sibling to show her the ropes. She can get a little excited around cats and may chase them, so dog-savvy cats would be best. Because Chai can be mouthy and likes to jump when excited, she’d do best with older children. And then there’s Chai’s special talent: sirens are her cue to join the choir. She happily howls along like she’s answering a very important call from the neighborhood pack. She also has a hilarious habit of stealing tennis balls right out of other dogs’ mouths.Chai would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, a confident dog sibling, and people who understand that shy dogs need time to find their confidence. She’s a high-energy puppy who is ready for walks, training, playtime, and plenty of couch cuddles afterward. If you’re looking for a goofy, sweet girl with a big personality and an even bigger howl, Chai might just be your cup of tea. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationSeptember 19, 2026, 8:11 am
