OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF:Cookie was found abandoned on the County Fairgrounds. She is very underweight and afraid; it is difficult for us to do an extensive evaluation on her. She will need someone with patience to help her overcome the trauma she has been through and to trust people again. She isn’t aggressive; she would rather run away than confront any issues that seem threatening to her. She does seem like a very sweet girl that appears to prefer the company of men over women. We think with time, TLC and patience, this little diamond in the rough will become a great companion. She’s timid around the other dogs here at the shelter and is uninterested in cats. She would love to have a quiet home with adults and older, dog-savvy children.Weighs 23 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Hi! My name is Raine and I am 1 year and 5 month old Australian Shepard/Border Collie/Pitbull mix. I am a very playful girl who will make you laugh with my silly personality, and my howls! I am shy at first, but once you gain my trust I am extremely loving and cuddly. I am also very loyal, I will follow you wherever you go! I don’t do well with other dogs right away, I need someone who will take the time to let me warm up to other dogs by going on pack walks. I have been able to make other dog friends by doing this! I will do best in a home with no other animals. I LOVE to go on adventures, especially paddle boarding and hiking. On-leash days in Millcreek canyon are my favorite because I’m able to enjoy the outdoors without other dogs getting in my space! I also love the snow, I could roll and play in it all day long! I am spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, crate-trained and potty trained.

Winston is 8 yrs old (April 19, 2016). 55 lbs. Winston is loyal, kind, and protects his people. He is active and likes exercise. He hates sirens from first responders. He is wary of children and strangers. Winston is reactive, including leash reactive. We have had him since he was 7-8 weeks old. No history of health issues. Since recent life changes, it has been difficult providing the time, exercise, and love he deserves. Winston is an amazing dog and we love him so much. He would thrive in a single dog home for attention purposes. He does well with most dogs off leash. He has not been around cats.
