Story
Maple came to us from an old coworker off KSL. She's a little over one years old, her birthday is June 1st! She can be a little nervous at first but if she has her buddy Kip by her side she's fearless. Maple loves to run and play and gets along well with other dogs, cats and even kids, but she also loves to curl up in her kennel and take a good nap. She is both house and kennel trained. I'm hoping to find her and Kip a home where they have plenty of space to play with them and take them on adventures. Maple and Kip are a bonded pair and we would like to keep them together if possible. Adoption fee is for both of them and includes their kennels, bowls, leashes and collars and toys.

Story
Meet Luna! Luna is a 14-week-old, 18-pound Border Collie mix who is the perfect blend of mellow and spunky! She loves toys, playing tag, and keeping up with the little ones. She also knows sit and paw, is very treat-motivated, and is doing great with her crate.Luna is mostly house trained and making great progress. She sleeps in her kennel and will even let you know when she needs a nighttime potty break. She’s still learning her leash skills and, like any puppy, loves to chew—so toys are definitely a must! She warms up quickly to new people and is mostly quiet, with the occasional adorable playful bark when she gets excited. She’s wonderful with other dogs and would love a canine playmate. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet.Luna would thrive in an active home with a secure fenced yard, daily walks, plenty of playtime, and lots of love. She can still be a little nippy with smaller children, but she’s learning and improving. And then there are her silly little hops! Luna gets so excited that she sometimes launches into a clumsy puppy bounce and doesn’t always stick the landing. Even sweeter? When she’s thrilled to see you, she’ll practically give your legs a hug with her front paws.Luna is still very much a puppy, but she’s already making great progress—and she’s ready to find a family to grow up with!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $300. Story
Astrid is a beautiful Border Collie mix with an incredible spirit and a story that speaks to just how resilient a dog can be. At around 2 years old, this sweet girl has overcome more in her short life than most dogs ever will. For the first year of her life, Astrid survived on her own as a feral dog on the reservation. During that time, she contracted distemper—a disease that many dogs don't survive. Against the odds, Astrid pulled through. She was later humanely trapped and brought into rescue, where she has spent the last year learning that people can be kind and that life can be safe.Today, Astrid is a loving, affectionate dog who enjoys meeting new people and soaking up attention. She adores cuddles, has eyes that will melt your heart, and has a gentle sweetness that is impossible to forget. As a result of surviving distemper, Astrid has a permanent neurological tic that causes her head and body to bob up and down. The good news? It doesn't slow her down or keep her from enjoying life. She's happy, playful, and otherwise thriving. Because distemper survivors are relatively uncommon, it's difficult to predict what her long-term medical future may look like. Right now, she is healthy and doing wonderfully, but her family should be prepared for the possibility of unexpected medical needs related to her past illness. Her constant tic has also caused significant wear on her teeth, so she may require more dental care than most dogs her age.Astrid is house-trained and crate-trained, but she is still working through some fears from her past. Walking on a leash remains very challenging for her—she may freeze and 'pancake' on the ground or try to bolt when she feels overwhelmed. Car rides are also difficult, and she does best when crated. She will need a patient, understanding family that is willing to let her continue building confidence at her own pace without rushing her. Because of her leash challenges, a securely fenced yard is an absolute requirement so she can safely exercise and enjoy the outdoors.Astrid loves having canine companions and would do best in a home with another friendly dog. She does like to be in charge, however, and is not a good match for other dominant female dogs. She is also a little too enthusiastic about cats and would do best in a cat-free home.Astrid is the definition of resilience. After everything she's endured, she has chosen to trust, to love, and to embrace the life she was finally given. She isn't looking for a perfect family—just one that will be patient, understanding, and willing to celebrate every step of her journey. In return, she'll offer unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and the kind of bond that only comes from a dog who truly knows what it means to be given a second chance.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Eli! Eli is an almost 8-year-old Blue Heeler/Border Collie mix who is smart, playful, loyal, and eager to please. Once he knows you, this handsome boy forms a deep bond and loves being with his people.Eli is house-trained and loves getting outside for walks, exploring, and playtime. He’s an intelligent herding dog who enjoys having both his body and mind busy—and because he’s eager to please, he’s a fun dog to train and work with. One of Eli’s biggest highlights? He absolutely loves other dogs! Although he spent much of his life as an only dog, he has discovered how much fun canine friends can be and enjoys playing and spending time with them. A dog-friendly home would be a wonderful fit for him.Eli absolutely loves his people and is a deeply loyal, loving companion. Once you're his person, he wants to be right by your side and will happily soak up all the affection you have to give. He’s playful, smart, and eager to please, making him a wonderful dog for someone who enjoys building a strong bond with their pup. Eli is not a good fit for a home with small children, so an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers would be best for him.Eli may pull when excited on walks, so continued leash work will help him become an even better adventure buddy. A securely fenced yard would be a big bonus for this fun-loving guy.If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, playful dog who is eager to please and great with other dogs, Eli could be your guy. Give him time, earn his trust, and you'll have a loyal companion who will be by your side for years to come!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
