Story
Joey is a 7 year old border collie mix. He’s been with me since he was six weeks old. He’s traveled all over the world. He’s worked on horse ranches, sailboats, and lived in an apartment in the city. He’s very adaptable to most environments. I have discovered that air travel and boats are not for him. He’s not very happy long term in that environment. Since I’ll be working in that industry for the foreseeable future I need to find him a home he can be happy and thrive in again. Joey does have anxiety. It shows the most when he’s left alone. I generally crate him when I leave him for an extended period or if there a chance there will be fireworks. He’s much happier in his crate. He’s fully off leash trained and pretty decent on a leash. He’s mostly just happy when he’s with his people.

I love to play. Unlike some of my siblings I am a short coat and still have the most beautiful green eyes! I am as smart as a whip and am going to be so fun to train. I will be around 45 pounds when I am an adult, best guess. I love people and sometimes will cuddle and take a nap but I really want to wrestle with you!  My potty training is coming along so well! I have a big poop and pee every morning on the grass. I try to hold my pee through the night but since I am still so little I sometimes have an accident. My name is Orzo Pasta, and if you know anything about pasta, that may tip you off that I was the runt! I have grown into a big strong boy though! Even when I was little and my bigger siblings liked to bully me, I was a spicy boy who stuck up for myself and never backed down from a tussle! Now I am about the same size as everyone else. My foster Aunt felt bad for me when I was teeny tiny because I was smaller than everyone else and it took me a little longer to walk. Because of this she would sneak me into her bed every night and snuggle me. I liked to wrap myself around her neck like a scarf, even before my eyes were open. Now that I am a big boy I still want to be held and snuggled, and people are my FAVORITE. Some would say I am a little bit spoiled, but I am as sweet as pie! I always quickly become the favorite of the litter. One of my best qualities is I was born with my stub tail so when I walk away I have the bum of a little black bear! It gets even funnier when I wag my stub, which I do a lot. I love going for rides to get pup cups! You may know that puppies my age often get car sick and eventually grow out of it, but I do just fine in the car, especially if whipped cream is involved!   My potty training is coming along so well! Unlike some of my fluffy siblings, I have a short coat. I should be about 50-55 pounds when I am full grown, best guess. Before my eyes were open they called me "Fat Toni" because I was thicc and my mama fed me well! I was often found in deep milk comas.
