Story
Shiloh was born in Germany, that is where we adopted him. He’s a very intelligent and obedient dog and loves up to his breed’s reputation. He enjoys walks, runs, playtime and cuddles. We never had any behavioral issues or health issues thankfully other than some pulling on walks when he gets excited. He gets along great with my kids and their friends with slow introductions. He likes learning new tricks, currently knows commands such as sit, lay down, up, jump, center and will seek his toy if you ask him. He loves dog puzzles and will usually get the hang of the fairly quickly. I would love to see him go to a loving family or single owner that will give him the attention he deserves. Please inquire with any other questions, thank you.

Story
Boo is a beautiful Border Collie mix, about 3 years old and around 30 pounds, with a gentle soul and a heart that’s learning how good life can be. She came to us straight off the reservation, where she survived on the streets for several years before finally finding safety in a foster home. Despite her past neglect, Boo is a sweet, friendly, and surprisingly trusting dog who is making wonderful progress every day.In her foster home, Boo has proven herself to be a dream houseguest. She is fully house-trained and completely trustworthy when left alone in the house. She enjoys attention and affection—especially when she gets to choose the moment! When called, Boo happily approaches for love and pets, though she can be shy if someone approaches her instead. She does best when her boundaries are respected, and she’s given time to build confidence at her own pace.Boo is still learning the ropes of being a pet. She doesn’t yet know how to walk on a leash and has no experience with car rides, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she’s sure to continue blossoming. One thing she does know well? Other dogs! Boo is fantastic with every dog she’s met and absolutely loves to cuddle and play with her canine foster siblings. She will need a home with another confident, well-socialized dog to help her feel secure and show her the way.A fenced yard is a must for Boo, as she needs the freedom to go outside on her own in a safe space. She’ll thrive in a calm, laid-back home with people who understand shy dogs and are committed to helping her continue her journey toward becoming a confident, happy companion. To meet Boo, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMarch 9, 2026, 7:24 am

Story
Pixel is an 8 year old petite border collie mix, who will effortlessly melt your heart. She is a bit timid at first, but once she gets comfortable with you she is the sweetest and cuddliest dog you could ever meet. She loves to play chase after balls and frisbees. Pixel is also the queen of tug of war and could play for hours. She’s well mannered, and potty trained. She has early stage 2 kidney disease that is easily treated with prescription dog food. The vet said that many pets with this diagnoses still live long healthy lives. Pixel gets along with other dogs, but can be a little quirky when she lives with them. She’d do best as the only pet in a home with no children, or with children who are older and respectful. One of my favorite things about her is that when she is relaxed her tongue pokes out. She also has the most beautiful eyes.

Story
Meet Benito – Your Happy-Go-Lucky Adventure Buddy! Basic Info: Name: Benito Breed: Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog Mix Sex: Male DOB: April 10, 2022 Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: April 9, 2024 Personality – Happy, Playful & Full of Zest: Benito is pure sunshine on four paws! Always ready to play, explore, or lean in for a pet, he’s got an infectiously joyful personality that will keep a smile on your face. He loves interactive games, running around the yard, and getting belly rubs. Benito thrives on connection and fun—he’s a dog who wants to be in the middle of the action and part of the family. With him, every day is a new adventure. Breed Information: As a mix of Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog, Benito is naturally intelligent, alert, and active. These working breeds are known for their stamina, loyalty, and sharp minds. Benito will benefit from regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him balanced and happy. Puzzle toys, training sessions, and active play will help him shine. He’s eager to learn and eager to please! Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise: walks, play, fetch, or dog sports Offer mental stimulation through training, puzzles, and games Use positive reinforcement training—Benito is smart and responsive Maintain regular veterinary care and vaccinations Ensure he’s part of the family, not left alone for long periods Provide structure, patience, and love Create a safe, indoor home environment Commitment for Life: Benito is not a short-term companion—he's a lifelong partner. Adopting him means committing to his care, well-being, and happiness for all of his days. He needs a family that understands that dogs are not disposable—they are forever. In return, Benito will give you loyalty, laughter, and love every single day. Do Not Leash Your Dog Outside Unattended: Benito should never be tied up or left outdoors alone. He needs companionship, safety, and interaction. Tethering a dog outside is not only dangerous but also deeply unfair to a social, intelligent dog like Benito. He deserves to be inside, where he can be close to his people and thrive. Why Adopt Benito? Because Benito brings joy wherever he goes. He’s playful without being overwhelming, smart without being stubborn, and affectionate without being clingy. He’s the perfect match for an active individual or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a big heart. Adopt Benito and experience the happiness of having a dog who truly loves life—and loves you.  Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting this wonderful dog, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles–based rescue dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home.
