Story
Meet Nico!Roughly 1 year old and 26 pounds, Nico is a scruffy little Border Terrier mix with the cutest quirky ears — one sticks straight up while the other flops down whenever he gets excited (which is often).Nico ended up in the shelter alongside his brother through absolutely no fault of his own, and he’s been winning hearts ever since. He’s a sweet, gentle boy who walks great on leash and loves being near his people. Equal parts adorable and soulful, Nico has that kind of personality that sneaks up on you fast.To meet Nico, please fill out an adoption application HERE: https://muttsinneed.org/apply/adopt

Story
Meet Mooshu, a 15-pound bundle of love who is ready for his true second chance. At 5 years old, Mooshu’s story started with a scary stay at a high-pressure shelter, but he has since blossomed into a volunteer favorite! He is a social butterfly who has never met a stranger he didn’t love, and he is famous for greeting every new person with a wagging tail and plenty of happy kisses. Mooshu is a dream on a leash and a highly motivated student when treats are involved. While he gets along great with other dogs, he is a bit of a "collector" when it comes to his favorite things. Because he values his toys so highly and isn't quite ready to share his prize possessions just yet, he would thrive best in a home with adults or older, respectful children who understand that a dog's toys are his kingdom. This resilient boy is a total "lover" who would be over the moon to be the center of your attention. He has so much affection to give and is simply waiting for a family who will cherish his sweet, quirky personality. If you're looking for a loyal, kiss-giving companion to fill your home with joy, Mooshu is your guy. You can apply to give Mooshu the loving home he deserves at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Meet Ollie! 🐾 This adorable terrier mix tripod is looking for a place to finally call home! Ollie is thought to be around 7–8 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. He may only have 3 legs, but that definitely doesn’t slow him down! Ollie is incredibly sweet, loyal, and loves being with his people. He is house trained, crate trained, and enjoys being outside, going on walks, and soaking up the sunshine. When he’s done exploring, he’s happiest curled up next to you getting cuddles and pets. ❤️ Ollie is looking for an adult-only home, as children can make him a little anxious. He would thrive in a calm environment with someone who will give him the love and stability he deserves after being surrendered. This special little guy is ready for his second chance — and he has so much love to give!

Story
Meet Sandy! She is an 11-pound, 1-year-old Border Terrier Chihuahua mix with a sweet, affectionate personality and a love for being close to her people. Sandy absolutely adores humans and is especially fond of kind kids. She enjoys cuddling, going for walks, and mealtime, and she loves being part of everyday life. She gets along with other dogs after a little time to warm up, but she would prefer a home without cats. Sandy has even enjoyed outings to places like PetSmart and Lowe’s and is happiest when she is near her people. She sleeps comfortably in a crate near your bed at night and walks nicely on a leash. Sandy knows how to sit and is eager to learn more since she is very food motivated. She is still working on potty training and will use a potty pad when needed. She also loves playing with toys and will happily chase after anything you toss her way. Sandy is ready to find a loving home where she can be surrounded by her people and soak up all the affection she deserves. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed. Story
Meet Ivette Female DOB: May 25, 2025 Weight: 13 pounds Breed: Border Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Ivette is a happy, friendly little girl with a loving personality and playful spirit. She enjoys being around people, loves companionship, and has the kind of cheerful energy that makes her easy to adore. Ivette is social, affectionate, and enjoys being included in everyday life with her humans. At around 1 year old, she has beautifully grown beyond the tiny puppy stage while still keeping youthful energy, curiosity, and playful charm. She enjoys interaction, attention, and spending time with her people. As a Border Terrier mix, Ivette may show traits such as: Intelligence and curiosity A friendly, social personality Playful but affectionate energy Strong bonds with her family Alertness and engagement Border Terrier mixes are often known for being loving, adaptable companions who thrive with interaction, structure, and companionship. Ivette would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily walks and activity Continued training and socialization Structure and consistency Mental stimulation and engagement Inclusion as part of the family She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, friendly, and engaging young dog. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Young dogs especially still require continued guidance, structure, patience, and supervision as they continue maturing. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Ivette will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Continued socialization and exposure Daily exercise and engagement Mental stimulation and enrichment Patience during adjustment periods Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Ivette will need: Daily walks and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and exercise A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because Ivette is still a young dog, consistency and structure are especially important in helping her mature into a confident and well-balanced adult dog. Ivette is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
PLEASE COMPLETE OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION AT WWW.LOVEBUGSRESCUE.ORG IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR ADOPTION: Sweet Pea is a darling 2-year-old, 9 lb Terrier mix with a wonderful personality and a gentle, loving nature. Since arriving in her foster home, she has been adapting beautifully and has quickly become a devoted little companion. She loves being near her people and happily follows her foster mom from room to room, always wanting to be part of the action. Sweet Pea gets along well with the resident dog and has been a lovely houseguest. She appears to be potty trained, consistently doing her business outside and keeping her kennel clean. She sleeps comfortably in her crate at night, which she seems to enjoy, and has not had any accidents. She is also a great eater and has settled into her routine with ease. One area where Sweet Pea is still gaining confidence is walking on a leash. She isn’t quite sure about it yet and tends to put on the brakes when the leash comes out. Her foster family is working with her daily, and with patience, encouragement, and positive experiences, she is already making progress. Sweet Pea is a sweet, affectionate little dog who is ready to find a family of her own. She will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend to share life’s everyday moments with. Adoption fee is $450 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccines/deworming/flea treatment current. Apply at www.lovebugsrescue.org
