This dog is   NOT   offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). This dog is solely a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Adoption Donation: $              599   Located:           Ms    (Transportation costs included, please ask for more details )  Age:   1 year Weight: 18 lbs                  You don’t get sweeter than Stella! This girl is all love and kisses—if you had all day to give her belly rubs she’d be in heaven!  Poor Stella was found dumped at a truckstop with a brand new litter and several older puppies, it’s believed her owners just left her and her family, and she gave birth on the streets. Fortunately Wags stepped in save the entire family and has found loving homes for all the puppies. Now it’s sweet Mama Stella’s turn! She is a bit timid at first but then she quickly warms up. Unfortunately, Stella recently tested positive for heartworm, but she is undergoing treatment and should be ready for adoption by the end of December. Anyone looking for a mellow and calm and loving family dog need look no further, she’s the one!      Please email if you are interested in adopting:  mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com   December 4, 2023, 2:35 pm

Story
This dog is not  offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). This dog is solely a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Adoption Donation  $550 Location/Fostered: in AR (Transport costs are included, please ask for more details) Age: 5 years old Weight: 25 lbs. Hello, My name is Georgie. My mom sings to me the nursery rhythm "Georgie Porgie pudding and pie". I come running. I am 5 years old and weigh 25lbs. I am dog social, love car rides, sleeping on your lap, sleeping in bed with you. I am doggy door trained, people social. I run and hide from little children. Older children I will sit with or just hang out. I adore sunbathing.  My family needs to rehome me because the neighbor has taken a picture over our privacy showing they have 3 dogs over the limit. ACO (animal control officer) says 3 have to go. My ideal home is quiet, another dog (not necessary), time to spend with me, wants to cuddle, sit and watch TV.    To start the adoption process, please log on to https://fohari.org/application/. Please fill out in full including your references email addresses.  Next is the deposit. This deposit reserves Georgie for you to adopt. Please go to Www.fohari.org. when on this page, look for the menu list. Click. This is where the deposit link is. The $200 deposit is subtracted from the adoption donation fee. If for some reason the adoption is canceled, I authorize a refund.  Georgie is ready to settle into his new furever home in time for Christmas.             Please email for more information on this dog:  alittlelonger2home@gmail.com   This dog is NOT offered for adoption by Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) but an Arkansas rescue partner.  Please contact them directly for more information.  December 4, 2023, 2:35 pm

Story
Adoption Donation: $250 Located: CT Age: approx. 14 years old Weight: 15 pounds   Say hello to this frosted-faced beauty, Chloe.   Chloe finds herself in our care due to the passing of her owner. During this confusing time, she has found comfort with the people caring for her and warms up quickly.  This elderly lady enjoys the finer things in life, like a long nap on her favorite blanket and the company of her foster family.  Despite being 14 years old, she has small bursts of spunk and quirkiness to brighten your day.  Being a senior girl, she is fragile.  She would need a calm home with a sweet, gentle dog(s) of similar size.  She has displayed some separation anxiety; therefore, a family member who is home more so than not would work best.  A fenced-in yard would be ideal as she is not good on a leash.  We are working on her potty habits.  Would you like to give this golden girl a soft pillow to live out the rest of her days?  Please inquire with her foster mom at  Dwabrek@gmail.com    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org       Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
