Story
Quintessa is an almost 2 year old Boxer mix who very loving and also energetic! This lovely lady is as sweet as she is beautiful. She loves people and has come a long way since she first arrived! When Quintessa first joined us, she was terrified of her own shadow and didn't want to interact with anyone. After some time, she began to come out of her shell and man does she enjoy life now! She is the queen of fetch at the shelter and would play all day if she could. After a game of fetch she has a precious way of sprawling across the floor to cool down after all of that exercise. Quintessa is usually so happy to get out of her kennel that she has a tendency to pull on the leash; but that is easily solved by using a harness since she walks very well when wearing one. Quintessa seems to be ok with most dogs, usually just checking them out briefly through the chain link fence before moving on, but a meet-n-greet is always suggested! She is usually indifferent to the few resident feral cats, although she is interested if they run past her quickly. Quintessa is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky lady who just needs to find her shot at furever! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. Story
Hi I’m Boogie and my butt wiggles just as you say my name! I’m currently with my wonderful foster family decompressing from almost a year in the shelter with my foster brother who is a German Shepard that loves to run! I love to run and play ball too!! A little bit about me: I LOVE chewing on toys and bones and can keep myself entertained for hours with a good chew toy.. I’ve never been one for chewing something not given to me. I’m crazy about playing fetch, try me! Ive been in the shelter in a cage for a long time so I'm learning potty training but I'm catching on super fast! You can’t give me enough lovings because I have no bubble!! Despite my past, I am the happiest pup and will be happy with anyone who will give me a loving home. I LOVE people and will lean into you for loves and I just discovered I love watching TV with my foster mommy. Come meet me! Boogie had several dog meets and loves other dogs but we suggest doing a meet with your dog if you already have one to make sure they are a good match!

Story
Hank wandered up on my grandparents farm back in early February and after going through all the protocol to find his previous owners we were told we were able to call him ours. Upon his first vet visit with us we were told that he is some sort of boxer mix and between 9 months to a year old. He is in very good health and has no medical issues that we know of thus far. Hank is chipped and neutered and up to date on all shots. He is definitely a cuddler,he wants to be by his person all the times. Unfortunately,Hank has began showing aggressive behavior when my girlfriend and I are eating anywhere other than the kitchen table. In bed,on the couch etc. because we have a young child we cannot run the risk and put her in harms way. As much as we have grown to love this sweet boy we have to protect our child in his situation. I think Hank would do good with a single individual who can give him plenty of love and affection and all the cuddles that he deserves.

Story
Noelle is a very playful and smart. She gets along well with other dogs.  She loves toys. She is a year old boxer/terrier mix who weighs about 50 pounds. She would do great in a home with another young playful dog but ok as an only dog.   She is shy around people at first. Her foster has a dog door which she loves and is house trained and crate trained.  She listens to gentle *no*.  Her face turns red through the white fur if she is nervous.  If she is in a playful mood, she will attack the vacuum cleaner. https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223184652955403/930973348404691 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223184656035480/3723316444554348 https://www.facebook.com/sonya.scheibler/videos/915837083417945 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10222941756243137/242340945564221 https://www.facebook.com/1555293309/videos/pcb.10223383566248111/777082114396410 https://www.facebook.com/TreasuresLostandFoundLLC/videos/940385154347000 She and her siblings were born in Feb 2023.  No cats.   Their mom, Karen, is a beautiful girl that found herself and her babies heading to Clayton County Animal Control after being picked up as strays in a field.    ##1804735##

Story
Marco is a 2.5 year old Bulldog mix. This handsome boy is striking to look at with his deep red coat and his different colored eyes! Not only is Marco a looker, he is also a lover! This boy has lots of energy and affection to give. He loves to run around and play, hardly ever wanting to sit still! Marco likes just about everyone he meets! We have not seen Marco with other dogs, so we would suggest a meet-n-greet if you have another dog in the home. Marco did meet a child recently and he did well, but he is very high energy and might knock small children over. Marco gives sweet kisses and would make an excellent addition to a family who loves those high energy and affectionate bully breeds.  Marco was an absolute blast to take around town - from climbing into Anna's lap at Underground Books, obsessively drinking the shower water all during his bath, sitting for treats, hanging half his body out of the car window, and all around bringing a smile to everyone's face. Marco's happy energy is contagious, and this crazy goober deserves a home with lots and lots of joy and love after his long year at the shelter. Story
Fergus is a 3 year old Pit mix who came to us with his 'sister', Elinor. Fergus is very sweet, playful, and loving. He is the more outgoing of the two. Fergus loves people and attention, he also is usually wearing a big goofy grin on his face! Fergus walks decently well on a leash. We believe both of them were predominantly outside dogs in their previous home, but we also think Fergus would transition well into being an indoor dog if he finds a family willing to be patient with him while he adjusts.Fergus came to us heartworm positive and will need to come back to the shelter for treatment after he is adopted. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Mowgli is a 1.5 year old Pit mix who is such a sweet, sweet boy! Mowgli loves to play and smiles just about all day long! Mowgli is a just a big ole goofy goober who is so excited to find his furever family! Mowgli can be a bit mouthy, but we have been working on that with him. Because of this, we do not suggest him with very small children. Mowgli is a happy-go-lucky fella who has this 'I love the world' mentality. We are unsure how Mowgli does with other dogs and would suggest a meet-n-greet if you have another dog in the home. Mowgli needs to find an active family who is ready to take on life with him!
