Story
Hi everybody! This beautiful golden girl is named Char. Char was brought to the shelter along with her bestie (possibly brother, Mr. Chatty) after getting lost on an adventure on 6/4. Char is shy in her kennel but becomes very happy once you get her out. She is super smart as she knows sit when asked. She is also quite the lady while walking nicely on a leash. Char is more reserve and quiet than her bestie and she just the sweetest, little girl. She is very affectionate, very playful, very attentive of Mr. Chatty, and supply the sweetest kisses. Please give this lovebug a second chance at a happy life with you. It is all she has ever wished for. She has a lot of love and loyalty left in her gas tank. Can you please grant that wish for Char? She is waiting for you to take her home and love her forever. Please don't let this golden girl spend her remaining years in a crowded shelter. She doesn't deserve it and neither does her golden guy bestie, Mr. Chatty. If you have enough room in your heart and home for this duo, then please consider them. They are just the sweetest kiddos around! Char is current on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and will be heart worm tested upon her adoption. She is a nice size of 56lbs and is just 7 years old. She is more than ready for her second chance at a great family. Char will be waiting for you in Run 29 and her ID is 658276. Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullCant Adopt? Apply to Foster Kali Today!Breed: Pit Bull Gender: Female Estimated Date of Birth: May 23, 2012 Size:  50lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING KALI In June 2012, three puppies were dumped at Animal Control. They were only a few days old and without a mom so their chances of survival were slim. The next day, Animal Control brought in a lactating female. Although she may or may not have been the real mom, she stepped up to the challenge. The mom and AC Staff did everything they could, but two pups died. The wonderful people at Animal Control reached out to us and agreed to hold the mom and the surviving female puppy for a few weeks until we could pick them up. The mom was treated for heartworms. The puppy, Kali, was a healthy girl. Once she was ready to leave her mom, we felt confident that Kali would be on to a loving home, but we were wrong.  ABOUT KALI Kali has been with the Forlorn family her entire life of 11 years and counting. Her dream and our dream for her is to spend her remaining years in a home of her own. Why hasn't Kali been adopted? It could not be because of her personality because she is the happiest dog on the planet!  Kali has a zest for life and she loves toys! She'll zoom around with any toy you give her. She is completely happy to run around with a ball in her mouth all afternoon. Kali is a bundle of fun-loving energy that would enjoy any activity as long as she is with her people. She would be a fantastic running or hiking partner. She would even just be happy to chase the ball around the yard for you. Seriously, this girl could play fetch for days. Playing fetch with a Chuck-It would be a dream for her. Due to Kali being housed in the rescue her entire life, she has never been around children. Therefore, a home without children would be ideal. She has not been around cats or other dogs either, so in order for her to succeed in a home she needs to be an only four-legged child. She is crate and house-trained.  Photo Album of Kali: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.531860010205503.1073741859.162554320469409&type=1&l=eff6e419eb Our adoption fee is $300. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top-of-the-line grain-free food.www.savingpitbulls.orgJune 9, 2024, 12:14 am
