Story
Rin is a petite brindle beauty, about two years old, with a massive zest for life packed into her small pittie frame. She’s sweet, playful, and fast on her feet—especially when there’s a tennis ball involved! Fetch is her absolute favorite game, and she’ll happily chase after the ball as long as you throw it.This high-energy girl is still very puppyish in her behavior, despite paperwork suggesting she’s closer to 2. Luckily, she settles well in her crate after playtime and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Rin’s love language is touch—she wants to climb into your lap, wrap herself around you, and soak up every ounce of affection.Rin is incredibly social with humans and wants to meet every person she sees. With other dogs, however, she’s still learning her manners. She can be a bit too pushy and insistent, which has led to some altercations with tolerant males she’s been introduced to. With training, structure, and patience, Rin has excellent potential to mature into a more respectful playmate. For now, she may do best as your one-and-only pup while she learns. This gal is very smart and she already knows several basic commands. Check these out in this video:https://youtube.com/shorts/mnnSy7AHaEoIf you’re looking for a fun, loving, athletic companion who will make you laugh and keep you moving, Rin is your girl!Name: RinBreed: Boxer/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 47.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Loves all people she meets, not specifically tested with childrenGood with Dogs: Yes, but needs to learn social cues - she's an "in your face" puppy.Good with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $300.00Location of dog currently: Connecticut  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Meet Hitachi! This beautiful young boy is looking for a new home. He is a very friendly, well mannered dog. He is a curious boy who takes his sniffing very seriously. When he gets excited he does like to run around and all the snow we have gotten recently doesn't seem to faze him! Hitachi is also impressively fast. He is very loving and enjoys being pet and spending time with people. He is a younger dog who would need someone to be patient with him as he learns how to appropriately adjust to a new home. His two different colored eyes definitely draw you in and give him a unique look as well. Does Hitachi sound like a good fit for you? Inquire and set up a meet and greet today.

Ive found myself without a place to live for going on 5 months. Family was caring rmy dog in hopes I could get back on my feet. Theyre unable to keep him. Hes going to be 6 in June. Hes a boxer husky and is mostly a good boy. He suffers with separation anxiety and is a bit whiney. I have called all the local non kill shelters and no one has space for him. Id keep him in the car with me but is really no life for a dog. If u or anyone you know is interested in Jax please let me know

Story
Bowie is a 11 month old, male, Boxer mixed breed. His story is heartbreaking and we are on a mission to find him the most amazing forever home possible. He is looking for a home without children. Bowie was found on the side of the road, severely underweight and desperately hungry. During intake, he was so starved that he even tried to eat his dewormer, a heartbreaking reminder of how little he had before being rescued. He is now safe, fed, and slowly learning that he never has to fight for his next meal again. Trust is something he’s still learning, but his progress has been remarkable. The gentle tail wags, the cautious steps forward, and the moments when he leans in for comfort show just how hard he is trying. Everyone who spends time with him is moved by his resilience. His sweetness reveals itself more every day, and there is a quiet gratitude in the way he looks at the people who care for him. Bowie is ready for an adult only home that understands that healing takes time and love. With consistency, compassion, and stability, he is sure to grow into the joyful, confident dog he was always meant to be. Story
Are you in the market for a perfect petite pittie princess? You are now.Meet Floria!Floria is 42lbs of sunshine. She's got the most smoochable snoot, the most emotive ears, and the silliest smile in all the land. She feels like warm velvet. Her kisses are top tier. Basically she's perfect. We ARE still trying to teach her how to walk on a leash like a lady and not a loose cannon, though. Right now, her favorite hobby is getting under your feet, getting herself stepped on, and then shouting at you for stepping on her like she didn't purposely put herself there because she has to be as close to you as physically possible. She DOES listen to corrections but you have to be on top of it or she'll choke herself out trying to explore everything.Floria is immediately friendly with everyone. She's another one that doesn't understand the concept of "stranger danger". If you have a pulse, you're her friend. No takesies-backsies. She'll run straight into your arms in slow motion like it's Baywatch if you give her the chance. She would rather play with her handler/human than toys, though she has shown mild interest when a squeaky toy or a ball is thrown. She does well with other dogs and has shown no red flags in her interactions with them, just lots of happy, playful, excited energy. She's afraid of cats, so we would prefer a home without them. Kids 10+ would be great but exceptions can be made for the right family.Since she is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Story
Meet Latte!Latte is the Brienne of Tarth of the shelter right now. This gentle giant is a 3yo pit bull mix weighing in at a whopping 100lbs. She's a BIG lady (Alexa, play Big Girl by MIKA) and can definitely appear a little intimidating at first...and then you spend 3 seconds in her company and you realize that there are kittens scarier than her. She has WORRY LINES. How can you be afraid of something that has WORRY LINES?(Unless you're afraid of her wagging tail because...valid. That thing is dangerous.)Latte is immediately a social butterfly and does not know what a stranger is. If you'll give her bum scratches and talk to her in a baby voice, her heart is yours. She likes walkies, stuffies, giving kisses, and being an absolute ridiculous ham for affection. She knows "gentle" as a command and has it perfected down to a SCIENCE. She knows her cues and is surprisingly good on a leash considering she's built like a small cow. She's a very, very happy girl and she's even gentle with her toys. She'll never turn down a game of tug but she isn't one to obliterate her plushies and fling stuffing everywhere and she's more than happy to trade her toy in if you have a snack on hand instead. She loves her playtime but is also a certified nap expert and you will have the best snooze of your LIFE cuddled up next to this living weighted blanket. Latte does not like cats and she is selective with other dogs. Basically, she likes dogs that have manners and are more low to moderate energy and won't come bouncing at her without warning. She's never been aggressive but has made her discomfort and uncertainty clear in those situations, looking to her handler like, "Um, hello, pick me up, I'm scared" like she doesn't weigh an entire 100lbs. Kids 12+ would be best only because she came to us as a stray and we have no idea if she knows what a child is. Since she is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Meet Maddox! Now that Maddox has been with us for a little over a month, we're REALLY starting to see that personality shine through...and oh boy, is it a goofy one 🤦â€\x8D♀ï¸\x8FMaddox is a 7yo male pit bull mix that weighs in at just under 70lbs. He's a big boy and, like most big boys go, he's a tender-hearted, sweet summer child, sensitive soul. His face ALWAYS looks like he got caught doing something he absolutely should not be doing even though he's never done a single thing wrong in his life...ever.A nervous boy at first, once Maddox is pretty confident that you aren't going to eat him, he's content to just plop next to wherever you are and hang out. That's not to say that he doesn't get the zoomies because he definitely does, especially outside...see photo evidence. His favorite past time is rolling around in the snow (or in the gravel for some reason). He's passionate about tennis balls, outside time, and butt/back scratches.Maddox has some decent training under his belt and knows his basics (sit, stay, come, down, etc) and knows his name...and actually responds to it. He's actually remarkably good on a leash for his size and isn't prone to being pully unless he reeeeeally has to pee. We're looking for an adult only home where Maddox can be the only animal. He isn't bad with other dogs but he doesn't really know how to act around them and he's...well, he's socially awkward. No aggression, just "mom, pick me up, I'm scared" energy.Since he's a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
