Luckily, she settles well in her crate after playtime and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Ive found myself without a place to live for going on 5 months. Family was caring rmy dog in hopes I could get back on my feet. Theyre unable to keep him. Hes going to be 6 in June. Hes a boxer husky and is mostly a good boy. He suffers with separation anxiety and is a bit whiney. I have called all the local non kill shelters and no one has space for him. We are obsessed with Pippa. She is a 9 month old, female, Boxer mixed breed. *Please note: Pippa is currently in a foster home and can be met by appointment only. She was found on the side of the road with her sibling, painfully thin and searching for food wherever she could. During intake at the southern rescue, she was so hungry that she tried to eat her dewormer. The crushing memory of that moment has stayed with everyone who has met her. Even with all she has been through, her sweetness remains. She is slowly learning that meals come regularly now, that hands can be kind, and that people can be safe. Each day she relaxes a little more, leans in a little closer, and begins to trust the world in front of her. Staff and volunteers have quickly fallen for her quiet bravery. She accepts love with growing confidence and is discovering the joy of soft beds, full bowls, and gentle voices. Pippa will blossom beautifully in a patient home where she can continue to learn what it means to be secure and adored. She has already come so far and has so much love ahead of her. Meet Fiddle!Fiddle is a year old and has permanent puppy dog eyes that will make you feel bad for everything you've ever done wrong in your entire life. Between the spot over his eye and the freckled ears, he looks like he belongs on Paw Patrol or as a character in a children's book. If you can handle the constant guilt trip just for existing, you could be perfect for Fiddle.Fiddle is a little over 55lbs so definitely not as big as most of the dogs we have right now. He is, all around, a VERY good boy, he just needs a little more confidence and the shelter environment can be overwhelming for any dog, never mind a sensitive little sunshine soul like him. He's a big sweetheart and he's starting to come out of his shell and we just KNOW that there's a goofy knucklehead in there somewhere. Like most pitties, Fiddle is definitely food motivated and would do a number of questionable and/or illegal things for snacks. He hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, but that could come with time. He's a good boy on a leash but can be a bit pull-y so we've been working with him on that. He's a quick learner so as long as you stay on top of it, he should be fine. Fiddle did previously live with other dogs and he's also done well with other dogs here. He's got the patience of a saint with dogs that want to be up in his business and he's also super respectful of boundaries so he has great dog manners. We're looking for a home without cats and with kids 12+ though exceptions can be made for the right family with dog/breed experience.Because he is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application.
