Story
Arrives to Connecticut 9-27-2025Rin is a petite brindle beauty, about 1 year old, with a massive zest for life packed into her small pittie frame. She’s sweet, playful, and fast on her feet—especially when there’s a tennis ball involved! Fetch is her absolute favorite game, and she’ll happily chase after the ball as long as you throw it.This high-energy girl is still very puppyish in her behavior, despite paperwork suggesting she’s closer to 2. Luckily, she settles well in her crate after playtime and loves nothing more than being close to her people. Rin’s love language is touch—she wants to climb into your lap, wrap herself around you, and soak up every ounce of affection.Rin is incredibly social with humans and wants to meet every person she sees. With other dogs, however, she’s still learning her manners. She can be a bit too pushy and insistent, which has led to some altercations with tolerant males she’s been introduced to. With training, structure, and patience, Rin has excellent potential to mature into a more respectful playmate. For now, she may do best as your one-and-only pup while she learns. She is spending two weeks at Gagnon's Pet Resort where she'll learn more about how to be the best dog she can be!!This gal is very smart and she already knows several basic commands. Check these out in this video:https://youtube.com/shorts/mnnSy7AHaEoIf you’re looking for a fun, loving, athletic companion who will make you laugh and keep you moving, Rin is your girl!Name: RinBreed: Boxer/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 47.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Loves all people she meets, not specifically tested with childrenGood with Dogs: Yes, but needs to learn social cues - she's an "in your face" puppy.Good with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $550.00 Location of dog currently:   Connecticut  IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Meet Our Mississippi 8!Eight beautiful Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier mix puppies are headed our way from Hernando, Mississippi — and trust us, they’re absolute gems. These babies have been in the local shelter since they were tiny, yet somehow had zero interest. Locals must be missing out, because these pups are stunning. At 4 months old, they’ve already completed all their puppy vaccines, including rabies. The only thing left (once they reach 6 months) is their spay/neuter — and we’ll even help with that cost. These pups come with classic puppy energy: curious, playful, occasionally mouthy, and ready to learn. Training should start right away to set them up for success, support socialization, and build a strong bond with their new person. They arrive in New England on 11/22 and will be placed in various foster homes throughout the region. If you’re able to choose just one (somehow!), get that application in quickly — they won’t last long. Before You Apply – Please Read:Puppies require time and patience.✔ They can’t be left alone all day — 4 hours max until they’re at least 6 months old.✔ Kids should be ready for a real, wiggly, sometimes-nippy baby who needs gentle handling and structure. If you’re ready for all that puppy life brings, these cuties are waiting!Breed: Boxer/Pit Bull TerrierAge: 16 weeks as of 11/20Weight: Average weight is 25 lbs as of 11/10Spayed/Neutered: Too young — spay/neuter contract required and strictly enforcedVaccinations: All puppy vaccines completed, including rabiesHeartworm: Too young for testing (done at 6 months)Housetrained: Not usually at this ageMicrochipped: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Yes - as puppies should be able to help them interact peacefully with cats.Adoption Fee: $500Location of dog currently:   New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Pumba is a 4-month-old, big-pawed sweetheart who’s well on his way to becoming a gentle giant. This boy is as close to “bombproof” as puppies get. He’s friendly, adaptable, and has a knack for fitting in.Pumba has been around kids ages 2 and 6 and handles them like a champ. He’s also a total star at events, doing beautifully in groups of 20+ people. He loves other dogs, young and old, and is respectful with cats. Despite being a puppy, Pumba is impressively easy. He walks great on a leash (he’s even stopped chewing on it), plays independently, and no longer begs at the table. He’s crate trained, although he prefers sleeping in a crate in your room at night. He does great crated during the day when his foster parents are at work. He’s also about 80% potty trained and getting better every day. He’s curious and goofy in all the best ways. He loves chasing leaves, but is a little suspicious of the TV. He is super easy to redirect if he gets interested in something he shouldn’t (no crayon-snacking here).Pumba is going to be a BIG, lovable boy, and he’s ready for a family who wants a friendly, social companion with a sweet, easygoing personality. If you’re looking for the kind of puppy to ring in the new year with, Pumba’s your guy.Breed: Boxer/Pit Bull TerrierAge: 4 monthsWeight: 30lbsSpayed/Neutered: Too young — spay/neuter contract required and strictly enforcedVaccinations: All puppy vaccines completed, including rabiesHeartworm: Too young for testing (done at 6 months)Housetrained: Getting there!Microchipped: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Yes Adoption Fee: $500Location of dog currently: New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
Kismet is a sweet little bean has had a rough start to life and she's searching for her forever home to turn it all around!Kismet is only six months old so she's just a baby. She's still learning the ways of the world and still trying to find her place. To make matters worse, she came to us with a fractured front leg that had been left untreated for some time. Luckily, after consulting a couple of vets, there was no need for surgery or amputation and Kismet has been the most patient, bravest little soldier while it heals. Kismet weighs about 38lbs right now but is a growing girl and still has plenty of time and room to grow. She's an absolutely stunning girl and is literally the color of champagne and just as bubbly once she gets to know you. A shy princess at first, it doesn't take her long to fall in love with you and it won't take you long to fall in love with her either. It's impossible to resist how bouncy and silly this pretty puppy girl is.Considering the fact that she's still very much a puppy, she still needs some help working on her leash manners. Right now she's a little zigzaggy but she's super smart and picks up on things very quickly. She's eager to please and eager for attention so she's been an absolute delight to work with. We don't think that she was ever socialized with other dogs because she doesn't really seem to know what to do with them but she might do well with the right dog that has patience for puppy antics and the fact that she's a little bit socially awkward. She's scared of cats and almost jumped out of her own skin when one tried to slap her through the bars of their kennel. Older kids (12+) preferred because we don't know if she's ever been around kids and she's a big baby with no manners. All in all, Kismet is the best girl that is going to be an absolute joy to watch grow and mature. Since she is a "restricted breed", you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member to adopt her.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Meet Kenji!Have you ever seen more perfect puppy dog eyes? Like, look at that booboo face 🥺 How can a 53lb dog look so much like a sad stuffed animal?Kenji is a four year old American bulldog mix and, despite the fact that he looks like Eeyore, is a SUPER happy and outgoing guy! He's basically bomb proof. He's shockingly well-behaved on a leash and won't use his weight/muscles to drag you all over the place or yank your arm out of the socket. He warms up to new people ridiculously quickly so "stranger danger" doesn't seem to be a concept that he comprehends or cares to find out about.Kenji previously lived with other dogs and did very well with them and he's been perfectly fine with other dogs here but he does seem to be exhausted by the mere presence of bouncier, more hyper dogs. Another laidback, low-key dog would be perfect for him but he's an old soul that doesn't want to be paired with a crazy puppy. As far as cats go, dog-savvy cats might be okay...but when one of our grumpier cats charged at him, he just let out the weariest, most soul-deep sigh we've ever heard come from a dog so maybe not subjecting him to cats would be kinder. Kids 12+ because, as is typical, we don't know if he's ever been around smaller kids and while he's a gentle giant, his feelings may be the same as they are towards puppies...like, "this is fine but please stop, I am tired".Kenji knows his commands (some he knows selectively...) and hasn't shown any signs of food aggression or resource guarding. He's a big baby blockhead that just wants to nap under the covers with you and cry at you as his way of communicating. He does love his walks and is briefly entertained by toys but prefers the company of people. You must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member to adopt Kenji. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Story
Meet Rosie!Rosie is the world's prettiest little pittie puppy and, yes, her tongue does in fact fit in her mouth. Most of the time.Rosie is about six months old and weighs around 36lbs with plenty of room to grow. She has the sweetest, smushiest face and the cutest lil white toesies and she's going to be absolutely perfect for the right family.Rosie is your typical happy puppy. She has no boundaries and "personal space" means nothing to her. She wants to climb all over you for attention, thinks everything is a game, and has no idea what "stranger danger" means. As long as you talk to her in a silly baby voice and offer her some kisses and pets, she'll go with you wherever you want without a care in the world. She likes balls and tug toys and romping around in the grass and pulling you across the yard when she's on a leash. She knows a few basics (sit, come) and we've been working with her on expanding her horizons. Rosie is very much a girl that will match energy. If a dog doesn't like her? Well, she doesn't like them either! If a dog wants to play with her? Immediate BFFs! It's all good vibes and puppy energy here from this girl until you give her a reason to sass back. What she does not like is cats. No cats. She would do well with older kids (10+) in a family that has dog experience and who don't mind getting jumped all over. If you're in the market for a little pittie princess, come meet Rosie 👸Since she is a restricted breed, you must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
