Hello everyone. My name is Catarina. I go by Cat. My brother's name is Baxter and sister Rosie. I am the color of my mom, and Baxter is the color of our dad. My momma was a Lab mix and my daddy was a Boxer. I came into rescue being the sweet crazy girl you see right now. I love people, children, dogs/ puppies, and cats/kittens. For the most part house broken, sort of leash trained, doggy door trained, crate trained. I have those boxer long legs. I would love to be a running buddy, go camping, hiking, yard work, anything with you. When the sunlight hits my coat, I have some areas of my coat looking like dark rich chocolate. Please fill out an application and submit a deposit to begin my journey home to you. Story
Hello, My name is Laney. I am originally from Russia. I was a show dog. I am a grand champion girl. After numerous years of performing protection, I became too old. So, my owner sent me to the breeder's auction. I was bought by a man who lives in the United States of America. My new residence was in the state of Iowa. I gave birth to two litters of puppies, but when it came time again to have puppies, I could not produce them. So, my owner contacted a rescue to find me a home. In January 2024, I finally came home. I loved my parents and even praised my boxer brother. But things were not quite smooth with me. I am not good with other animals. I am nervous when other animals are around my food (normal behavior for a dog is always separate from the pack). My ideal home is one in which I am the only animal. I am a sweet, funny, laid-back girl—a typical Boxer. I am 7 years old love bug. I adore going for walks Please fill out an application and place a refundable deposit to reserve me and start my way home. Transport back east included. Laney Female SpayedBreed: Boxer Color Tri Age: 7yrs old Weight 61lbs Great with people and older children. NO OTHER PETS! Adoption donation $ 495

Story
🐾 Meet Truely! 🐾Truley, a 6-month-old, 32-pound pup, appears to be mix of Boxer, Beagle, and Jack Russell Terrier, was plucked from the streets of Olive Branch, Mississippi.Rescued while running as a stray, fate intervened when Truely's friendship with another rescue dog caught the attention of rescuers. Without hesitation, she was whisked away, a decision that proved to be life-changing!Highlights: • Perfect portable size with an adorable freckle belly and a nub tail • Her short coat and cheerful disposition make grooming a breeze • Easily settles in her crate and sleeps peacefully through the night • Thrives on human companionship, especially loves cuddles and naps together • Enjoys being outdoors for walks, hikes, and sunbathing Considerations: • Truley is still a puppy and will require appropriate toys to channel her chewing instincts. Benebones are one of her favorites! • Her past challenges may lead to guarding behavior around other dogs, requiring patience and empathy from her adopters. However, she has exhibited no guarding behaviors towards humans • Can be timid in unfamiliar environments, needing gentle encouragement and reassurance to build confidenceTruley seeks an owner who can guide her behavior and continue her training journey. While a companion might boost her confidence, supervision with other dog is essential. Homes with children aged 5+ or dog-savvy individuals are preferred. She's excelling in potty training and is nearly 100% reliable when maintained on a consistent schedule. If you're ready to open your heart and home to Truley, contact us to arrange a meet-and-greet. She's eagerly anticipating finding her forever family! Kobe

American Pit Bull Terrier

Male, 7 yrs
Acushnet, MA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Kobe is a two year old pit mix. He loves going for walks, playing with toys, going on car rides. He does have energy and needs structured exercise, but he can't go forever so if you're looking for a dog who can climb mountains with you, it's not Kobe. He’s very friendly with the people he knows and trusts, but that list is short, and he is weary of strangers. He needs slow introductions to new people in order to warm up to them. Kobe will need an adopter that understands his need to take things slow, both with new people and new environments. Kobe is dog selective. He is not a dog who you should be taking to the dog park or anywhere where there is loose, unstructured play with random dogs, but he will definitely do well living with another dog or having dog friends that he is introduced too properly that is of a good temperament. He does not like dogs who are super in his face. He also does okay with cats, as long as the interactions are monitored. Kobe is well trained, knows basic commands, walks well on leash, travels well in the car and has pretty good manners around the house. He loves his crate as well. His ideal home is a home with one or two adults only and possibly another well balanced dog. Kobe is a follower and he will pick up another dogs bad habits, as well as bounce energy off of them. For this reason, he should live with a dog who is secure and even keeled, not anxious or a dog with behavioral issues. Whoever adopts him should be comfortable handling him and advocating for his space when necessary. He needs someones lead to follow. Because of his low confidence and general distrust of the world, he can make poor decisions when left to is own devices. That's where structure, rules and guidance will come into play to help him navigate the world around him! He will have lifelong training support, but needs someone who is open to our guidance and can follow our instruction. PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT KOBE IF: -ANYONE under 18 lives in your home -You have roommates -You are against crates -You are not open to balanced training If you're interested in Kobe, email us at caredogvolunteers@gmail.com. *PLEASE NOTE: All dogs are in foster care all over MA. They are NOT at the cat shelter, which is the address listed on Petfinder. There are ONLY cats there. We do not set up meet and greets with dogs until after you've been approved to adopt. Please do not email asking us if you can come by and meet a dog the same day.*
