Story
If you love outdoor adventures Wallace is the dog for you. This 2–3-year-old Boxer/Hound sweetheart is an active boy– he loves hiking on the trails, running in the snow, splashing in the water – it’s all good with him. He walks well on leash, and actually loves to lead the way, which is really sweet. Oh, and he loves riding in the car, especially if its for a pup cup! At 77 pounds Wallace is a big guy but is as gentle and affectionate as could be. He is very intelligent, a good learner and has a strong desire to please his people. He loves to play but also settles down easily. And while he sleeps through the night on his bed, he would always prefer to share yours if given the chance. Wallace is currently in foster, where he is doing great, but he is waiting eagerly to find his forever home. He is looking for an experienced owner to guide him and be his best friend. He would do best in a home with adults or older kids who can manage his size and energy, and while he plays well with other dogs, should be the only dog in the home. Also on his wish list... a yard where he can explore and stretch his legs! In return for all of that he promises to give back with loads of love and lots of loyalty. Kindhearted Wallace just can't wait to find that forever family who will appreciate how truly special he is! Could it be you? Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
This beautiful girl is Majesty. She is a 2-year-old boxer mix and weighs 55 lb. Majesty was given up due to housing issues. Her previous owner described Majesty as a fabulous dog and we totally agree! She loves everyone and is the most gentle lap dog, making sure to gently grab a toy to snuggle up with. She loves all things comfy. Chairs, blankets, even your sweater! This sweet girl walks well on a leash and is great with other dogs. We think Majesty has the temperment to do well with children of all ages. She is going to be a well-mannered, loyal, wonderful addition to her forever home! We don't know what Majesty thinks of cats but can cat-test her if needed. Majesty is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. Her adoption fee is $400. If you would like to meet/adopt Majesty, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-online-adoption-application/ or stop by our shelter. Story
This adorable puppy is Coconut. She is a 15-week-old boxer mix and weighs 23 lb. We think Coconut will be about 50 lb full grown. Coconut is at a foster home, not at our shelter. Her foster says "Coconut is a sweet and silly girl who's ready for some love and fun. She is highly attentive, loves to cuddle and is always ready to play. Coconut is very good in her crate for quiet time and sleeps through the night. We're working on potty training but you can tell she's a quick learner. She is playful and submissive with our dogs, but mostly cares about human attention. Coconut is eager to please and a perfect little princess!" Coconut is vaccinated for age and healthy. Her adoption fee is $475 (includes spay surgery). If you would like to meet/adopt Coconut, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-online-adoption-application/. He’s got that classic Boxer personality—goofy, loving, playful, expressive, and always ready to make you laugh. Tank lives for human attention, happy moments, and being part of the action. Despite his bright spirit, Tank hasn’t had it easy. He was heartbreakingly abandoned inside a home when his owner moved out, then eventually dumped at animal control. Yet somehow, he still greets people with trust, sweetness, and that signature Boxer enthusiasm. He’s proof that dogs can be incredibly resilient and unbelievably loving. Tank does great with other dogs and has even lived with cats, making him a wonderful fit for many types of families. He’s eager to belong to someone who will finally give him the stability, kindness, and love he has always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with boundless love and a silly streak that will brighten every day, Tank is ready to be your guy. Adoption application: www.wtfarmtn.org

Story
Zoey is an energetic and lovable dog looking for an experienced adopter! We adopted her at 11 months old. She is approximately four years old now, fully house trained, and can obey commands. She is a sweetheart but highly anxious, and takes medication daily to help with the anxiety. Zoey loves people, but is timid and afraid around other dogs. Zoey is comfortable being crated and sleeps in her crate at night. We think that with continued training and a consistent routine Zoey's anxious behavior could improve. We love Zoey and are hoping to find an adopter that can give her the best possible care!
