Story
Emmy is a 6-month-old boxer/lab mix who comes to us from a local animal control where she was an owner surrender by someone whose dog had a litter. She currently weighs 27lbs and has already been with us for 2 months. We have not idea why this pup has not been snatched up already! This little beauty is all puppy love and sweetness. She is curious and likes to meet new people. Emmy will need to learn her basic commands and work on her housetraining, but she is eager to please and up for the challenge! Dog Gone Smart in Norwalk has been kind enough to offer some free training classes for her and her new adopter. She looks forward to going to DGS on Wednesday to swim. Emmy loves to play with other dogs and she can occupy herself with balls and toys as well. Emmy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.

Meet Keene can't be any kuter! What a love muffin! VIDEO! Hey everyone! Another TINY cutie this week! 12 wk old Keene who is now up for pre adoption! Please make sure to read ALL info below BEFORE applying. NO applications accepted by anyone under the age of 25 please (parent or guardian must apply) and you MUST have dog experience. MORE PHOTOS VIDEO COMING! READY THIS SATURDAY!! To apply go to https://rnrpets.org/form-dog-application/ - and make sure to give us as much info as possible. DO NOT CALL RESCUE but if you have questions u can TEXT NO CALLS to 9146885499 - please do an application BEFORE texting Meet love bug Keene another of our rescue favs! He is just a sweet doll who can not wait to give u kisses and snuggles. He was given to Rock n' Rescue after his owner dumped him at a hi kill shelter for no reason - luckily our southern partner stepped in to help and he then entered our rescue program and were super spoiled because he simply deserved to be over loved after his sad story! He was given the best of the best care and now he is ready to move on to his real life home - started house and crate training and super socialized!! He is simply kisses love and cuddles! SOOOO SWEET and will be perfect for those looking for this breed mix as he is prob going to be a medium to large sized dog and is super trainable at this young age! He still is TOO TINY to go outside fully on public dirt as he is still too small to have all the necessary vaccine rounds vs other younger puppies who are older and so he is still susceptible to parvo and distemper. He is great with children, dogs and cats too. Can't be a better fit for most families! Keene is truly special and is coming a long way for love. Again he will likely grow to be a large sized dog - not too huge but still an unknown since he def is mixed. WE DO NOT DNA TEST for breeds so you adopt and love what you get no matter what tests tell you or do not apply... We do believe he is part Boxer and part who knows what lol - he is pretty much a mix of prob 3 breeds so a true mutt but that makes him all the better - He has had vaccines but adopters will have to complete final rounds and he has been microchipped and neutered. Minimum donation required. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in South Salem NY - no exceptions.

Story
Sweet Rosie girl was found as a stray. The woman who found her tried desperately to find her owner but to no avail. We believe she was dumped, as it is very common here in the south. The woman brought her here to the rescue and she is doing extremely well with all the dogs and puppies and even like the cats and the children who visit. We believe she is approximately 5 months. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and she is also crate trained. She is full of energy and would do very well with a house full of kids! She appears to be a Boxer/Hound mix of some sort, pretty much a Super Mutt! Wouldn't you love to add her to your family? She will be ready for transport by the middle of May PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $650

Story
*Name: Brady *Age: 2 years old *Current Weight: 40 lbs *Adoption fee: $475 Hi, I'm Brady!! Am I you're perfect match? I am a playful, fun and energetic boy with lots of love to give. My story started rough but I got all the much needed medical and emotional support I needed to be my best so now I just need to find my best family.   I would love an active family for neighborhood walks or hiking. I haven't actually been on a hike but I am sure I'll love it. Looking for a lovebug, guess what, that is me, cuddling on the couch to binge watch our favorite Netflix drama is definitely in my top five. Now that I know what it means to sleep with my human, I hope my new human is okay with sharing your pillow.  I am a happy go lucky boy who loves my chew toys and even licks the vet when I go for my check ups. I live for meal times (definitely #1 on my list of favs) and love the occasional treat (if hourly means occasional to you that works for me too). If your hands don’t seem busy I might ask for some pets. If you have a canine friend for me to play with, that would be super cool, I would love a four-legged sibling. If all of this sounds good to you then fill out an application because I can’t wait to meet my new family.  I sure do hope they find me soon! Story
If you love outdoor adventures Wallace is the dog for you. This 2 year old Boxer/Hound sweetheart loves to be outside in any weather - hiking on the trails, running in the snow, splashing in the water - it's all good with him. He is successful on and off the leash and his recall is quite good and getting better. At 77 pounds Wallace is a big boy, but is as gentle and affectionate as could be. He enjoys playing with other dogs, and will do so every chance he gets. He is very intelligent with a strong desire to please his people, and most things don't take any time at all to learn for this smart doggie. He settles down easily and sleeps through the night on his bed, but would prefer to share yours if given the chance. After a pretty rough start Wallace has come into his own in a loving and supportive foster home, and is ready to continue his journey with an experienced owner to guide him. He can still be wary of strangers and loud noises, and boundaries are good for him and you. A large yard with room for him to explore and stretch his long legs would be ideal, and while he does play well with other dogs, it would be best if he were the only dog in the home. His size may be overwhelming for young children and he would probably do better in a family with kids over 15 who can understand and respect his energetic enthusiasm. Wallace's potential is endless, and this sensitive and kind hearted boy deserves a forever family who can appreciate how truly special he is. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
