Story
Lucky Girl & Little Lady aka - Monkey & Chicken Bonded Sisters – may have to be separated 😢 Forever Home(s) Desperately Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Lucky Girl and Little Lady! This adorable set of sisters are 13-month-old mixed breed puppies. They came to us at only weeks old, still being weaned off their mama. Their mama and siblings were adopted several months ago. These two have yet to find their forever home and have become very attached to each other. We have been holding out hope we could find them a home where they could stay together but, so far, we’ve had no luck. Their amazing foster mom has had them all their lives, but she cannot hold onto them any longer. If nobody steps up, we will need to separate them 💔 Lucky Girl…affectionately known as Monkey….is a curious, goofy, mischievous, cuddly fur ball. She’s always up for an adventure, even to the vet. She lovingly walks over to her sister and foster dog sibling unprompted and gives them lots of kisses out of the blue. Little Lady…. affectionately known as Chicken…is a real doll. She is a bit more timid and reserved but still loves adventure. She has a gentler nature but is always up for fun and to play or wrestle. Chicken is a pro at twirling and does so whenever she is being fed while Monkey jumps around like a kangaroo for food 😊 Both are smart, extremely sweet, loving and cuddly. They love to playfully wrestle and cuddle with one another as well as with their foster dog sibling and foster human mom. They are crate trained for up to 4-5 hours a day and are treat motivated. They are well socialized, great with kids, cat curious and are good with other dogs. Neither have an issue with resource guarding or separation anxiety from their foster mom. Monkey and Chicken are UTD on all vaccines and spayed. If you are interested in being the forever home for this incredibly sweet pair, or one of them if both aren’t a possibility, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page. https://www.facebook.com/PAWSLongIsland/ PAWS Adoption Coordination Team Pioneers for Animal Welfare Society, Inc. http://www.paws-li.org https://www.facebook.com/PAWSLongIsland/ Instagram: @paws_li Phone: (631) 306-4616 FOSTER/ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://paws-li.org/html/services/adopt-1.php

Bear Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY area Meet Bear. This sweet, social, 12-year-old gentleman is looking for the perfect home to spend what’s left of his life. Bear is a large mixed breed weighing approx. 50lbs. He was surrendered by his people because they were moving, and Bear was not welcomed to move with them ☹ He was slightly underweight and originally showed signs of neglect. Bear suffers from chronic kidney disease, but it has been well managed as of late. Thankfully we were able to find a wonderful, temporary home for him but he needs a place and people to call his own. Bear is relatively low energy and loves a good nap. He also loves puzzle toys and treats 😊 He has really come out of his shell, now that he’s safe and well cared for. He’s good with kids and friendly with familiar dogs. Look at him walking with his foster siblings. He hasn’t had any exposure to cats. We'd love to see Bear spend his final years in a comfy and calm environment. If you think you are the right home for this deserving guy, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or call the number listed below.
