He’s got that classic Boxer personality—goofy, loving, playful, expressive, and always ready to make you laugh. Tank lives for human attention, happy moments, and being part of the action. Despite his bright spirit, Tank hasn’t had it easy. He was heartbreakingly abandoned inside a home when his owner moved out, then eventually dumped at animal control. Yet somehow, he still greets people with trust, sweetness, and that signature Boxer enthusiasm. He’s proof that dogs can be incredibly resilient and unbelievably loving. Tank does great with other dogs and has even lived with cats, making him a wonderful fit for many types of families. He’s eager to belong to someone who will finally give him the stability, kindness, and love he has always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with boundless love and a silly streak that will brighten every day, Tank is ready to be your guy. Adoption application: www.wtfarmtn.org

Story
This adorable boy is Caliber. He is an 11-week-old boxer mix puppy and weighs 14.8 lb. We expect he will be about 55 lb full grown. Caliber is at our shelter with his brother Bronco. His previous foster says "Caliber is a confident puppy and very smart. He figured out the snow maze we made for him and he catches on quickly to what you want him to do. Caliber loves to cuddle and give kisses, but he is busy busy with his toys. He likes to explore and is into everything. Caliber is not fully housetrained yet, but in only three days he has started to go to the door and he goes to the bathroom every time we go outside. He understands to sit for a treat. Caliber does not react to loud sounds like a blow dryer or blender. He is very quiet in his crate and sleeps through the night." Caliber is vaccinated for age, neutered, microchipped and healthy. His adoption fee is $515. If you would like to meet/adopt Caliber, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-online-adoption-application/ or stop by our shelter. We are open 10 AM to 4 PM seven days a week. The DAWS shelter address is 147 Grassy Plain St. Bethel. Email daws@daws.org with questions or if you wish to schedule an after-hours appointment. Caliber can't wait to meet you!

Story
Ozzie is around one year old and such a sweet boy. He loves to play with other dogs! He's obsessed with water and will run for the water hose if you have it going. He's such a fun loving pup who deserves a wonderful home! Ozzie is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested ****** for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Story
Jennings is a great-looking boy who was abandoned along with 3 friends younger than him. He was taken in by CPR and is ready to look for his forever home. We believe he is a mix with American pitty and boxer. Approximately 45 lbs right now and 19 months old. Jennings would make a great addition to any family and would love the opportunity to run & play with his new family. He has already learned to walk on a leash and loves to pose for the camera! Jennings is very smart as he waits until his foster mommy calls his name before he runs to eat his vittles. He is crate-trained and is learning his housetraining manners. Go ahead and apply to adopt this sweet pup!! He won't dissappoint! Story
I adopted Budder from a rescue group that acquired him from a shelter in Georgia. Budder is a lovable cuddly dog. He loves anybody that gives him attention! He’s very playful so he needs activity during playtime. Budder is not aggressive, rather skittish and unnerved. He is a very chill dog and could sleep all day if you’d let him. Budder does not bark unless he felt physically threatened or being protective during an altercation. He’s is very good with other dogs big and small and very calm with cats! Budder is also good with kids and toddlers - children should be supervised around him.
