Story
Daisy-Boxer/Shepard female, ~ 1 yr. (Jan. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Daisy was saved by a Dog Trainer when she saw her in a high kill shelter. She knew this sweet girl needed a chance at life, not to have her life snuffed out before she's even gotten started. Daisy is a 'gem'...she's house trained, crate trained, according to her Inmate Trainer. She's been in a Training program at a Men's Prison and has already learned her basic obedience commands. She's learning about vehicle manners, how to load up. She knows about grooming and good care. She's good with other dogs, loves to play, still having puppy mannerism. Her favorite games, according to her foster dad is 'ball, tag and tug'! She loves the recent snow and had so much fun playing with a ball in the snow. Her buddy dogs, both big and small had fun with her. Children are an unknown, although she's been around children at the Trainer's Kennels. Daisy has a big bark, which can be misunderstood to a novice dog owner. She doesn't bark often, but will alert if a stranger wanks in the house. A home with experienced dog owners is preferred and Daisy would love to have a canine buddy. She would be considered medium/large in size and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Hiking and play! Daisy's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption. Story
Birdie-Boxer X female, ~ 1 yr. (April 2025) Please contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Birdie came to Rescue from a Prison Training Program. Her trainer said that service work is not what Birdie wants for her life and that she is ready to be part of a loving family. Birdie has done well in the Prison Program. She is now house and crate trained. She's had basic obedience. She knows about grooming and husbandry. She's also been a good friend to the other dogs at the Prison. At this time, we don't know about cats or small children as there are none at the Prison. Birdie will enjoy an active lifestyle and would be a great hiking or running partner. She's about 50-55# of love and fun! Her adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
